Sample childminder policies and guidance
Childminder gold members can access a comprehensive set of sample childminder Policies and Procedures in Microsoft Word format; all Childcare.co.uk members can access the Policies and Procedures in PDF format.
The Policies and Procedures below are for guidance only. They are provided for you to adjust to your way of working. It is important that you read them carefully and ensure they are relevant to you and your way of working.
Whilst Childcare.co.uk strives to make the information in these Policies and Procedures as timely and accurate as possible, we make no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness or adequacy of the contents and expressly disclaim liability for errors and omissions. Childcare.co.uk therefore accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or loss or damage arising from the use of or reliance on details obtained from this documentation.
It is up to each childcare provider to go through the wording and check it is relevant to their practice, making changes where necessary. Note that in some instances, Local Authorities might require providers to add information into their Policies and Procedures or write extra Policies and Procedures and this is not within our control.
If any of the wording is not relevant to YOU and YOUR provision you will need to change it before printing and sharing the Policies and Procedures with parents.
You may not wish to use all the policies. The only statutory Policies and Procedures required by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which must be in writing to comply with the Childcare Register are: Complaints Policy & Procedures and Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy & Procedures.
You also need a Privacy Notice for your Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration and data protection.
