Childcare.co.uk webinar training conforms to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) principles.
CPD principles emphasise principles of provider (employer) support, individual responsibility, relevance to practice, benefit to service users, improvement in quality-of-service delivery and balanced and diverse learning – all while being recorded and showing the effect on practice.
Provider Support
Childcare.co.uk has thousands of early years members and is the UK’s biggest membership group for childminders, nannies and nursery practitioners. Childcare.co.uk creates regular opportunities for freely available CPD.
Individual Responsibility
CPD Is the responsibility of the early years provider to access and engage with on a regular basis, to stay updated and to improve practice. Childcare.co.uk owns and manages Facebook groups for practitioners and regularly advertises courses, to remind them of their responsibilities.
Relevance to Practice
Childcare.co.uk CPD is delivered by practicing early years professionals and is highly relevant to provider’s ongoing childcare practice. Providers are regularly asked to contribute suggestions for further CPD, which are used when new courses are written.
Benefit to service users
Childcare.co.uk CPD is shown to benefit early years practitioners who report raised levels of confidence and improved Ofsted inspection outcomes as a result.

Evaluation
Early years practitioners are encouraged to evaluate the effectiveness of their training. Childcare.co.uk has provided evaluation sheets for them to use. A free annual CPD planning sheet encourages early years providers to identify and plan areas for future development.
