Free Childminder Public Liability Insurance

Childcare.co.uk offer £10,000,000 of free Public Liability insurance, underwritten by Markel International Insurance Company Limited, for all qualifying Registered Childminders that are gold members of Childcare.co.uk.

We also provide free public liability cover for up to 2 additional care providers working under the direct supervision of the policy holder. This means cover is included free for childminder assistants.

Free Childminder Professional Indemnity Insurance

The policy also includes £100,000 of free Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Free Employers' Liability Insurance

If you employ up to 2 staff, assistants or apprentices that work under your direct supervision then you can also receive £10,000,000 of free Employers' Liability Insurance. To qualify, you just need to supply us with your Employer Reference Number (ERN) unless you are exempt from requiring one.

Free Childminder Legal Expenses Cover

Members of our insurance scheme receive free Legal Expenses Cover and access to a 24 hour Legal Helpline.

The Legal Expenses Cover policy is underwritten by Markel International Insurance Company Limited and is managed and administered by Markel International Insurance Company Limited.

Free Childminder Loss of Revenue & Suspension Cover

The policy includes free Loss of Revenue & Suspension Cover.

If you are unable to work due to an interruption in your business then cover of up to £20,000 may be available.

If your childminding registration is suspended by your regulatory body (eg. Ofsted) then cover of up to £2,500 may be available.

Free Access to Law Hub worth over £200

Free Babysitting Cover

Registered Childminders in the scheme are covered for self-employed babysitting work.

Satisfies EYFS and Ofsted Requirements

The Public Liability cover provided for Childminders meets the requirements of Ofsted and the EYFS statutory framework.

Additional Terms & Conditions for Childminders and General Exclusions

• Childminders must be Ofsted registered, or equivalent body elsewhere in the UK

• Once you are covered under the policy, any changes to your Childcare.co.uk account that would disqualify you from the cover, will result in your cover immediately expiring. If your gold membership expires then your cover will immediately cease. When submitting your details to apply, you must provide your correct full name and full address. If you change your name or address you must let us know immediately. Applications with invalid or non-current names and addresses will not be valid and you will not be covered.
