My 20 month old has been looked after by Amanda and her assistants for over a year now and every day I pick her up it’s obvious she has fun, enjoys herself and has good relationships with all the staff there. They normally have topics that they do activities on. Recently they have been learning about “people who help us”. My child enjoyed dressing up, doing activities and crafts related to the topic and now loves spotting ambulances, police men and fire engines! This year Amanda has put time and effort into her back garden to make it even more fun for the kids with chalk boards and other activities. The hours I work vary every week and when we were looking for child care I was worried I wouldn’t find anything flexible enough but Amanda is very accommodating.
Overall
My girls aged 10yrs and 5yrs go to Amanda's house after school and during school holidays. They love being there and have adjusted well to all the staff there. I find Amanda to be helpful, considerate, mature, trustworthy and she has established excellent rapport with my girls. My girls like the home cooked food and she has catered very well to our vegetarian needs! They have lots of fun doing interesting craft work and activities. They are also delighted to have the outdoor play time in parks or play areas during holiday times.
Being a doctor I have very variable hours and last minute changes to my schedules which Amanda understands well and she has been extremely accommodative. She often goes the extra mile to help me out. I now have the peace of mind that I found a place where I can be confident that my girls are safe, happy and well taken care of!

Amanda has looked after our two boys for well over a year now and they love every minute that they are in her care. I have posted a review here previously, but wanted Amanda, and potential mothers looking for childcare, to know how much she is worth every penny and how much she is appreciated. Amanda and her assistants, Jackie and Lauren, see the young people in their care as individuals and they are known and respected as such. Amanda has been a superstar and is not just our childminder, but a friend of the family.
We would highly recommend her to anyone.

finding the perfect option for childcare wasn't an easy mission, it cost me lots of thinking and pondering as I obviously wanted to make the right choice for me and my baby.with Amanda I did!
my son wasn't easy to settle in, but Amanda had so much patience and perseverance that I knew for the early days she was the best choice. she ws extremly supportive in the separation process and always encouraged both me and my baby not to give up without forcing the time nor the process itself.
with time the baby got used to it and he really loves it now, to the point that he smiles and claps his hands when we get to the front door in the morning.
when that door opens there's always a smiling face welcoming my baby's excitement and a warm cheerful setting that reassure the baby and makes the drop off totally easy for me.
In the evening I take home a tired but happy and relaxed baby, fact that assures me that he spend the day in a caring and friendly environment where he had fun, kept himself busy with many different activities and got all the attentions he might need.
the mission wasn't easy, but I know for sure that I got that right! should I have a second baby, it won't take me so long to choose childcare.

My son has been minded by Amanda 3 full days a week since he was 7 months and from the initial couple of trial runs he has loved every minute. I have no qualms leaving him there as I can see how happy he is with Amanda, her children who are absolutely lovely and a credit to her and the other children she looks after.
They do plenty of activities and she is very interested in his development. In fact as a first time mother I have found her tips and help invaluable.
A very caring and competent child minder that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Obviously like every mother my children are my world and who you choose to look after them is a very difficult decision. I would recommend Amanda 100% - she has looked after my 11 month old for three months and Sophia has come on fantastically. Amanda is very professional yet also friendly and I trust her absolutely.

It's wonderful to find a childminder who understands and practices the same parenting style as you. Amanda is such a person!
As a recently single parent, starting a new job and having a 2yr old going into childcare for the first time, Amanda was and still is reassuring, kind and understanding which makes leaving my son with her every day that little bit easier.
My boy took to Amanda really well and thoroughly enjoys his time there, I can only put that down to how calm, kind, welcoming and fun she and the other children are. My boy loves giving her cuddles :)
I can't recommend Amanda enough - she's just great!

I could not recommend Amanda enough! Having gone through a bad experience, we came accross her ...our baby has been in her care since he was 9 months and she has done wonders !! Always doing something new and interesting indoors or outdoors and she sends us text messages or pictures to put our minds at ease. She provides all meals homemade and our baby loves them, we have actually asked her for the recipes ! She's fantastic and I think every childminder should be like her !! Xx

When my family moved to Newcastle I was concerned about finding childcare that would replicate my previous childminder. Upon meeting Amanda and her wonderful family, we were immediately put at ease and the transition of new home life, new school and Amanda's care was incredible.
My two children love going to Amanda every morning and three nights of the week where they are so well looked after with fantastic freshly cooked meals, and they even read to Amanda's older children too - Amanda goes over and above what I could ask of her. My children enjoy their time with Amanda and see her and her family as an extension of their own family - what more could a working mother ask for?
I would recommend Amanda to anyone without a second thought and a just so grateful for all that she has done for us.

Our 1 year old son was very fortunate to have Amanda as his child minder. She is a very caring and compassionate person. She is full of positive energy, ideas and takes lot of interest in overall development of children. Her children are so loving and caring that our son never wanted to leave them once he saw them, especially the younger ones.
My wife and me are both doctors and work long shifts; Amanda helped us and our son a lot by taking good care of him. Unfortunately we had to move from Newcastle due to work commitments, but still we all miss her and her lovely children. We will definitely & totally recommend her to anyone.
