I just want to start by commending Sophia’s ability to go above and beyond for the children. As a Paramedic I have had to work 12/13 hour shifts and in all honesty without Sophia I have absolutely no idea how i would manage to keep my job and my 6 year old child fed. On one occasion she drove over 45 minutes just to drop off a toy my child left behind, when I tried to offer her some money for the trouble she insisted that the smile on Gemma’s (my child) face was all the payment she needed, me and my daughter are vegan and every time my daughter is with Sophia she makes a lovely meal and sometimes she even sends food home for me as she knows I wouldn’t have time to cook. Sophia makes Gemma feel like family and for that I truly am thankful, when we clap at 8o’clock we not only clap for the NHS but also for Sophia.
