Hello,
My name is Gemma.
I qualified as a nursery nurse in 2002. Since then i have worked in two nurserys with children aged 0-5yrs. I spent 3 summers working in Greece, Crete and spent 3 winters working in the French and Swiss alps working as a private nanny for a company called Scott Dunn.
While out their i learnt to snowboard and ski but once i put the board on i said i would never go back to been a skier!!
I worked for sure start children Center for 5 yrs supporting children and parents before leaving to work as a play worker on the children’s ward of a hospital.
I left in 2022 after mat leave for my second child . I have two daughters. I’m looking to go back to work September 2025 when my children will both be in full time school ( age 4 and 5 ) I’m looking for a family who would be happy for me to bring mine along in the morning and drop them off at school , I would then have all day with your little one where I would take them to playgroups etc before collecting mine at 3.25 pm . I’m happy to do term time only if that suits and happy with 3-5 days . It would need to be one child if not local to my children’s school as only one space in car or can be two if in walking distance.
Currently my DBD and first aid has run out but will be looking to get it re done if a family will suit what I’m available for .
I could maybe start before sept 25 if needed

My Experience
I have worked with children in a nursery setting from the ages of birth-5yrs and have worked with Scott Dunn (travel company) as a private nanny for three winter in the French and Swiss alps from the age of 5months--12yrs. Taking them to and from ski school, cooking lunch, lots of creative work and lots of outdoor activities during the day while the parents ski. I’ve also worked closely with parents and children on the children’s ward from 0-16 yrs.
