My name is Claire Meunier. I have a lot of experience with babies and toddlers. In the past I lived in Belgium for 16 years and 20+ years in England. I am bilingual. I speak French and English fluently.
I love going out with friends, walking in the countryside, reading, singing, taking care of plants, cooking, visiting new places, etc...
Although I don't drive, I know how to use public transport and have a very good visual memory so I don't get lost easily. I love nature a lot and I am open to learn new things.
My Experience
I love to take care of children. I am qualified to care for newborns and babies as well as children up to 8 years. However I am capable of caring for older children too. In the past I have been an au-pair for 4 children from the age of 2 and a half to 8. I was a nanny for a boy from the age of 7 months to 19 months. I have been a nursery nurse at STEPS Pre School in Tonbridge for 3 years as well. I was a childminder assistant for nearly a year. In 2018 I worked taking care of babies and toddlers in a baby room for 3 months, 40 hours a week. And between July 2018 to October 2019 I was a nanny in Balham for two girls one aged 1 and the other 3 when I started. I worked as a mother's help taking care of twins for 4 months in 2020. From January 2020 to October 2023 I worked 2 days (21hours) a week taking care of a girl who is now 6 years old and her younger sister (who obviously came later). I also worked three afternoons a week for about 3 months caring for a 5 year old girl, helping her learn French. On top of this I also cared for an 8 month old baby girl for around 5 months. In 2021 I cared for a baby girl for a couple of months and in 2023 a baby boy of 7 month until 13 months. In 2024 I cared for baby girl under 1 year old for a couple of months.
I try to offer my full attention to each child I take care of - listening to whatever they may want to say. I believe it is important to praise, but also to discipline children with love for them to become happy, confident and fair human beings.
I am a good cook, so will be happy to make meals for babies and/or children. One dish I make that most children enjoy is a white sauce with cheese, salmon and broccoli. You then serve it with rice or pasta.
My Qualifications
I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years Level 5 Diploma from the University of Greenwich.
I have a CACHE Child Care and Education Diploma level 3 as well.
I passed a 12hrs Pediatric First Aid Certificate training course in May 2018. I am looking to update it.
I have a current DBS check.
I have recently successfully completed a Level 2 course in Child Counselling.
My Availability
I am looking for a part time job starting in February 2025 covering up to 3 days of max 7 hours.
I take the bus and train to move around.

Claire was a part-time nanny for us and was wonderful with our daughter (at the time aged 8 months). Claire is very kind, gentle, and thoughtful and we felt we could trust her. Our daughter absolutely loved her and they bonded well together. She was also flexible with our times and needs, so we really appreciated that as well.

Claire worked as a Live-In Nanny for our family from July 2018 to October 2019 (15 months), looking after our two daughters who were one and three years old when she arrived.
Claire worked four days a week, sole charge. Our oldest daughter spent half the day at nursery (Claire did drop off and pick up), whereas our youngest daughter was in Claire’s care the whole time. She was very good at arranging local activities and playgroups for them all to go to, and she quickly made friends with other local nannies with whom she arranged play dates and went on trips further afield (museums, parks etc).
Claire is a very trustworthy and conscientious individual. She is wonderfully caring with young children, and has a lot of patience and sense of calm. Our girls were very fond of her.

When my twins were 18 months old and my newborn was 1 month old, I was looking for some help and that is when Claire came into our lives! She has been so kind helping me take care of my children who absolutely loved spending time with her. I would highly recommend having Claire as a nanny.

When I first had my daughter 17 months old I struggled with the recovery of an ECS alongside breastfeeding a demanding newborn, my partner reached out to Claire to help me through the rough nights. Claire was very reliable and always supported me in anyway I asked. She cared for my daughter throughout the nights while I rested. She made me feel at ease and I wouldn’t second think to use her services again should I need to in the nearby future. I can highly recommend Claire as a professional and knowledgeable nanny. Thanks again x

Claire has been taking care of our 1year old child 2days/week for several months. Our daughter was extremely happy to spend those day with her. Claire was taking her to the park, to play groups,...
She was patient and caring. She was also very flexible with her schedule, which helped us a lot.
I highly recommend her nanny services.
