best child minder I have ever met.

My 2 children love going to lucies settings. Well looked after and catered for and even more so for my son with additional needs.clean great meal and snack choices and always plenty of activities to do. Lucy has been understanding of needs like work hours etc to accommodate and has been very flexible to meet these needs. I couldn't ask for a better child minder.

Happy little girl

My little girl has been with Lucy since October 2014 when she was 7 months old. She's very happy there and seems to really enjoy herself! Very flexible service offered which is brilliant

Flexible and fantastic

My child now 2 1/2yrs has been attending Lucy Applewhite for about a year. Lucy is very friendly, approachable and flexible which was one of our main reasons for choosing her. My child loves it there and when he arrives he gives them all a hug and at home talks about them fondly. This is a wonderful home setting with home cooked meals, I am very happy to have my child with Lucy and her team. I have no worries about his safety or their care for him.

Absolutely Amazing!

I cannot recommend Lucy and her team enough! My little boy Oliver has been with her since he was 8 months old, and like all mums you worry about them settling in but I felt immediately at ease when I visited Lucy's for a look round.

The first nursery I had tried him in was fine but they only had 3 cots in one tiny room and I did worry that all the children would get their naps, this was particularly important for me as I was settling Olly into a routine so he needed to be put down at the times I specified. The other issue was the cost and the fact you had to take all your nappies, wipes, bum cream, food and drink for the day, it was a major task getting everything ready each day. They also didn't have much of an outdoor space and didn't open until 8am.

I was thrilled Lucy had 4 separate bedrooms for sleeping, a fantastic garden for playing with numerous toys, and the best bit... they provide nappies, cream, wipes and all food and drinks in with the cost (and the food is all super healthy cooked by their own personal chef). So that was all my expectations exceeded! As for Olly, well lets just say when I go to pick him up every day he runs away as he never wants to leave. I have to literally chase him round the nursery or garden so I can get hold of him and bring him home. There are a million other things I could mention like the cctv for peace of mind, the amazing photos they take of your children and send to you, and the wonderful activities they have planned for them daily, Lucy is constantly looking for ways to improve everything for the children and there are always new interesting areas/toys/ cropping up in the garden and nursery.

I can't thank the team enough and when my little girl (due August) is old enough she too will also be going to Lucy's (if she's got room that is, perhaps I shouldn't be writing such a positive review or there might not be a space left ha ha). Go take a look round for yourself and meet everyone, I guarantee you will be blown away!

Excellent flexible childcare!

I have used Lucy's childminding service for a few years now and have never come across a service which is so flexible to meet my requirements :) Nothing is ever too much trouble and the fees are very reasonable. High recommended!

Child friendly

I don't have a any family here, only me and my daughter who is 10. When my daughter first came in this country, I was desperate to find a childminder and one of my friends recommend Lucy Applewhite and she told me she is good with children, that is true, I experienced that myself. Lucy and her group are the first people my daughter came in contact with, they helped her to settle in this country, they have build her confidence and they have even helped her to stand up to her bullies. I don't know what I could have done without Lucy and her staff. Lucy is so understanding, she works around my hours even when I need a child minder within a short notice she always accommodate my daughter. I would recommend Lucy to any mother who wants a good care for her child.

safe, stimulating environment

My toddler has been spending time at Lucy’s house since she was 6 months old. We chose Lucy Applewhite’s childminding service because of the great reviews on here and the close proximity to our home (I am studying from home). I have been really impressed with how flexible Lucy is, I’ve had to change my daughter’s hours a few times and it’s never been a problem. I am also impressed with the professional, enthusiastic and friendly attitude of Lucy and her assistant, Lillianna. I also value the fact that Lucy manages her staff team in such a consistent way, making sure that the same people work in the same locations; meaning that my child is nearly always greeted by her smiling, friendly keyworker! I have also been very impressed with the high level of safeguarding practised by Lucy and her team, the presence of CCTV makes me feel particularly reassured. Furthermore, I am always happy to see photos of my child enjoying her time with Lucy and Lillianna, which are posted on the private facebook group and included in the ‘learning log’. I feel that Lucy and Lillianna provide a safe, stimulating environment, in which children can take the lead in their own exploration and learning.

Amazing childminding

My son has been with Lucy and her team since he was 6 months old. Being a single mum in the Armed Forces has it's challenges and I have be flexible with my working hours and often time away from home from my children. Lucy is always on hand to accommodate and help me when changes arise with work, ensuring stability for my 18 month old son at all times. I am extremely content when he is in their care, and he often has overnight/weekend stays.

I believe my sons all round development has blossomed under Lucy's care so much so that I am moving my 7 yr old from his before and after school clubs to Lucy's care.

I absolutely recommend Lucy and her fantastic team to anyone. I wouldn't be able to continue with my work and provide a happy home if it were not for them.

Fantastic!!

After having my son it was too soon time to go back to work. As I work full time Monday to Friday I wanted to find the perfect place for Harlee, where he would be happy and enjoy his time there. We tried a couple of places and he would cry when we left him and be very grumpy when we collected him! This was upsetting for us all! Then we were told about Lucy Applewhites! Harlee seemed to just settle in almost instantly, he doesn't cry when dropped off and all smiles, happy and chatty when collected! We get brilliant feedback at the end of the day and get the odd art picture bought home too! I would recommend this nursery to anybody, especially first time parent leaving their children for the first time!!... Just brilliant!!

Excellent childcare

Lucy, Lisa & Kerry are an amazing team who have looked after my 3 yr old for the last 8 months. I moved my daughter from a local nursery to Lucy's after hearing great things from other mums, the care is excellent, its like a home away from home & my daughter settled in really well. A big plus is the flexibility they offer as I dont always work the same hours each week and the setting is small enough to put the childs needs first yet big enough to have a lovely group of children for my daughter to play with. She is always coming home with some sort of art work she's done that day & happily chats away about her day on our way home. I would recomend Lucy & her team to any parent.
