All parents - please read
I think as parents you should know the strain and headache Cindy has caused us in a space of a week.
We took our son to Cindy for the first time 3 weeks ago ( beginning of sept) and first week went well, but then downhill. On monday evening she states that my son may need extra work as he is slow with his degelopments. The day after she says she is 6 weeks pregnant and is finding it really hard to cope with 3 children under 2 therefore gave me a weeks notice. Then the following day she calls me to collect him early as he was crying histerically and she couldnt calm him down, by this point she said she was too tired and would rarher i find alternative arrangements asap, so really no notice given to me.
This is not all- i truly believe that the main reason she decided to not look after my child is because she thinks he needs extra needs- therefore she has discriminated. However i know for sure that he is fine, every child is different and grows at different paces, mine has only turned 1 and is still really a baby. She needs to pay more attention to her daughter who is nearly 2 but doesnt say a word clearly. She will have nothing positive to say about your child but make u feel negative and terrified that something is really wrong. Ohh and my son crying with her so much i only put it down to her, he was very happy with our first childminder and never cried there. And when Cindy's daughter was making a fuss over dinner she punished her by taking her out of dinner completely and let her watch telly instead. Really do u want your child to be starving all day because they like to make a fuss over food- isnt that what kids do? Cindy was a montessori teacher, do your research before as they are obviously very strict and rule based, which children do not like, and that explains why my son was so unhappy with her.
In addition, she also lacks emotion and care for our feelings and how badly her decison affects families. While she has been crying and telling me how hard it has been looking after 3 children, she has also been looking to replace my son, and when i asked her about it she lied and said no not now, however my friends have told me she has been messaging them as she has availability. I think thats very offensive and not morally right.
WP is a small place Cindy, you will be caught out and i will make sure every mum in WP knows exactly your true colours.
And of course she isnt alone in her decisions, in fact her husband makes all decisions for her. She tells you one thing one day and it changes by the next day as he will be making decisions for her.
Good luck with your new job but i will make it hard for you, just to really make u aware of how awful you have made us feel the past week. You failed your carer in accounting, i dont think you can cope with pressure very well and therefore childminding is not right for you either.
To all parents, happy to talk to any of you if you need any further advice. And please look at the contracts your signing, she can terminate it within first 3 weeks if she feels it hasnt worked out- i didnt look at this when i signed mine.
