Dorothy has been looking after my son since he was 2 years old up until now at 9 years old. She looks after him term time and during school holidays. She has been very patient with him through all his development stages. She has been a crucial part of his reading stages. She helped to read by the time he was 3 years old. She has taught him a lot of life skills that I would not have the time to implement. She was a very important person when it came to his transition from nursery into primary school, she is currently assisting me to prepare him for his SATs in year 6. She is so reliable and has not disappointed me yet with her availability, she will always give adequate notice were applicable if she can't look after my son.

Like Home Away from Home

Dorothy's Littlegemz setting is a welcoming, home-away-from-home childcare service that has provided a nurturing and safe atmosphere for my child. From the moment we enrolled, I’ve seen how child has thrived through the joys of play and exploration, which is something Dorothy emphasises beautifully. The environment is both stimulating and comforting, allowing my child to learn at their own pace while building essential social and cognitive skills.

Dorothy has been an incredible support, to both my child and I. She is always proactive in keeping me informed about any milestones achieved, whether it’s a new word, a skill, or simply a moment of growth. Her regular updates make me feel connected to my child’s day-to-day development even when I’m not physically there.

What I appreciate most is Dorothy's personalized care and attention. She goes above and beyond to understand each child's individual needs and strengths, making sure they feel valued and supported. It truly feels like a family environment, and I couldn’t ask for a better place for my child to grow and flourish.

Best child carer

Dorothy is beautiful loving kind and caring she is an asset to my family and I would recommend her to any parent looking for childcare she is intelligent hardworking and very respectful my kids love her as do I
