My wife and I write this review with many fond memories of our younger son being completely settled every morning at drop off at Yvonne’s, and greeting us with a smiley face every evening at pickup (despite him not wanting to leave!!) From our son being barely over a year old to him leaving to start nursery at 3 years old, we went to work every day without a worry because we knew that he was in Yvonne’s experienced, safe hands, being cared for in a stimulating and nurturing environment by someone who is clearly in childminding as a labour of love. Yvonne always went the extra mile for her children and parents, and we particularly appreciated how easy it was to communicate and work with her.
Yvonne has a wonderful local network of other likeminded and loving childminders, who regularly meet up at each other’s homes, local parks, or other outings. As a result, children under Yvonne‘s care benefit from lots of opportunity to play and socialise with other children of similar ages. Generally in Yvonne’s home, we would find our son and all the children sharing with each other, playing and enjoying themselves in a calm and settled way, like a scene from Mary Poppins!
Since our son moved on to nursery, we recommended Yvonne to a couple of friends and they too have found the experience with Yvonne thoroughly excellent.
Yvonne has felt like a sister to us and been our rock during those challenging years of juggling two young children and full-on jobs. The fact that we still keep in touch, both our sons ask about Yvonne from time to time and look forward to visiting her during school holidays despite having moved on to “big school” is a testament to how much they treasure their relationship with “Nan Nan” Yvonne.
Our only regret is that we didn’t meet Yvonne sooner so that our older son could also have benefited from her care.

Words can not describe how much we have come to love Yvonne and her wonderful daughter Sonia. When walking into their beautiful home you really feel the joy and happiness.
My son started going to Yvonne when he was 10 month's old. Being a first time mum and nervous she put me at complete ease. I got regular pictures and videos of my son’s progress and within the first few days I was completely sure that he will have the most amazing time with Nannie Yvonne and Sonia.
It has been a joy to see him learning to walk, talk and recite the full alphabet and count to 20. Everyday he would come home excitedly showing me all his new wonderful skills Nannie had taught him and talking about all his new Friends and eager to go back the following day.
Yvonne follows the EYFS framework and what I love the most about Yvonne’s setting is that everything she teaches the kids it’s done with fun, laughter and exciting activities, such as, the day trips to the woods, farms, parks, museums and the fantastic social skills he has built meeting all the other children and adults at playgroups. We have noticed how wonderfully spoken my Son is and how much he has developed prior to starting Pre-school and this is truly thanks to Yvonne and Sonia.
Fast forward 2 ½ years and we are truly devastated to leave Nannie Yvonne to start Preschool however we have been so lucky to have had Yvonne and Sonia part of our lives and consider them to be part of our family and will always stay in touch as my Son Loves Nannie, Sonia (and the dogies) very much.
