About Me
Hi my name is Gillian, I am a registered and Care Inspectorate approved childminder based in Bathgate, West Lothian, where I share my home with my partner Martin, daughter Hayley (1992), son Kieran (1998) and youngest daughter Erin (2003). We also have a cat named Bleau who will appear from time to time for hugs and treats.
I am a friendly, honest and open person that you can easily approach.
I will always be happy to discuss any aspect of your child's care and will always provide day to day updates, through conversation, photo's and daily diary.
I welcome parent input into daily diaries and planning.
My Experience
I have 24 years experience bringing up my own children.
My youngest son has Asberger's Syndrome which is on the lower end of the Autism Spectrum, nowadays, you would never know!
My Qualifications
I have completed the SCMA Induction course in childcare.
I have a currant P.V.G. Which is part of the mandatory Scottish Care Inspectorate registration process.
I have attended Play Works 2 A Scottish Conference on Play.
I have a current First Aid certificate which includes Paediatric first aid.
I will as an ongoing learning process, be attending other relevant courses throughout the year that will enhance your child's time with me.
I will show certificates upon request.
My Availability
Monday - Friday 7am -6pm, but I am happy to discuss any days or hours that you may require.

I honestly couldn't recommend gilly enough, my daughter has attended since she opened and is very sad to be leaving now that we have moved. She goes above and beyond expectation every time, providing a fun filled, educational environment for children of all ages. It's like my daughters second home, she adores gilly and her family. We will never forget her time and experience here. Thank you for everything you have done for us xx

Gillian is great with both the kids and parents. She is always well organised and willing to help out wherever possible. Gillian packs the childrens day with lots of arts and crafts, garden play and learning, visits to softplay, local parks and the library. Gill's set up is fun and educational and she treats everyone as a unique individual with their own likes and dislikes. Gill is very accommodating to every child's needs and is a very warm and friendly person by nature. My child has enjoyed every moment of her year with Gill and is looking forward to going back after the summer holidays. I guarantee you will not find a better childminder. As a parent, i feel at ease knowing my child is well looked after in a safe, warm, loving and enriching environment.
