Below are the reviews that NESA has written.
We are Thomas’s parents and we are very happy with Gail’s setting.
One of the activities with Gail’s setting is going to toddle’s every morning. At toddler’s Thomas has learned to mix and interact with other children, and is involves in various activities such as e art work, colouring, story time, nursery rhyme time etc.Last Christmas, Thomas came home with creative art work he did at toddler’s i.e. the monkey’s with toilet roll as the body, Christmas card, wreath made out of his hand prints and other various types of Christmas decoration. We have noticed that Thomas is able to use colour pencils better than when he was first introduced to colour pencils when he was 9 months old.
Gail understands and is attentive to Thomas’s needs. Thomas doesn’t have the frequent nappy rashes like he used to before he was in Gail’s care.Thomas is always clean at the end of the day when we come and pick him up from Gail’s.
Gail understands the importance of Health & Safety. The front door is always locked and First Aid is always available when she is with the children. She is concerned about healthy eating. She always ensures that Thomas eats the main meal and fruits in the pack lunch.
She is creative and provides activities that help improve Thomas development. For example Day one - play castle with human mini figures, day two play colouring on the table, day three dancing or watching dinosaur’s programme. Each week Thomas will engage in different types of games. Thomas and the other children seem to be very happy with the activities Gail organises for them. Gail also made the effort to celebrate Thomas’s 1st birthday at her home together with the children under her care. It is very nice of Gail to take the time to celebrate his birthday.
She is very good with Thomas, and he is very lucky to be looked after by Gail. She is a professional and nurturing child minder and we are more than pleased to leave Thomas in her care.
First day back to Gail after 2 weeks Christmas holiday, Thomas did not want to come home. I think that tell a lot!
