My Summary
About Me
Hello, I am an ofsted registered childminder with experience of working with children of all ages in home based child care settings, nurseries and schools. I have worked with children with special needs and challenging behaviour. I have four children ages 22,19,18,5
We follow an approach which meets the needs of all children, giving children real resources to learn and play with and develop important skills through play. We support the learning and development of our children with real life experiences, promoting a sense of Hygge and calm in our early years setting. We love being outside, nature is part of our everyday learning. We actively encourage our inclusive setting and pride ourselves in offering care for all children regardless of need. We ensure our support, play and opportunities meet the needs of each child in our care.
I began childminding in 2005 when my third child was born and I have loved being part of so many children’s lives as they grow and develop.
I work with my eldest daughter who is my assistant and loves working with the children and helping them thrive.
Graded Outstanding by Ofsted in Feb 2023
***Awarded the Portage Stamp of Approval ***. I am very proud to be working closely with North Tyneside Portage and to be the first and only setting in North Tyneside to be awarded the Stamp of Approval.
***I have completed the Early Years SENCo level 3 in December 2019
I offer funded 2/3/4 year old flexible spaces.
I am currently the only childminder in North Tyneside to complete North Tynesides “2 Matters” course, to raise the profile and aspirations of the two year olds in our borough, working alongside other settings such as nurseries and schools and school improvement partners.
We spend our day in a purpose built summer house with access to Our garden which children can access when they wish. We also have a garden at the rear of our property which we use when we spend time in the house. We also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas and nature reserves and we visit one of these places about once a week including our community allotment which we share with another childminder, where we enjoy planting and learning about growing our own food.
I am available during the week in the Longbenton area of Newcastle and I am in close proximity to Quorum and Balliol Buisness parks as well as HMRC and walking distance to the Freeman Hospital.
My aim is to provide a flexible professional service in a happy secure home from home environment. Children receive care tailored to individual needs.
I record children’s development following the EYFS on an online system allowing easy access for parent to contribute and see how their child is doing.
It is a privilege being a part of children's growth and development and working with families to the very best of my abilities. I will always endeavour to go the extra mile for the children and families I work with and have extremely good relationships with parents.

I was so nervous about returning to work and leaving my little girl with someone else but I needn't have worried. As soon as I spoke to Lyndsay on the phone then we met up, I knew I wanted her to look after my daughter while I was at work. Lyndsay is amazing with her, she sometimes doesn't want to leave! They're always going to different places and doing different activities. My little girl also adores Lyndsay's three lovely children. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone!
Lyndsay collects my 2 daughters from school. My daughters feel very comfortable and at ease with Lyndsay and love being with her. She is very flexible, I often have to change days/ hours to fit in with my work and Lyndsay always tries her best to work around me and my children.
I would highly recommend Lyndsay as a childminder.
I would like to thank Lyndsay so much for her patients with my children and appreciate her advices for me and them. I think it's enough to say my children love her so much and they spend a fun time with her.

Thank you. It was a pleasure helping your family out.
Lyndsay has been looking after Archie since February and is a pleasure to work with. She has been invaluable in her help with weaning and in making my transition back to work as smooth as possible.
Not only is Lyndsay incredibly flexible, she is also very accommodating and will do what ever she can to fit in with your schedule, even at very short notice.
Archie is coming up to 10 month now and absolutely adores Lyndsay and her youngest daughter. He has been to meet the horses already and goes to soft play too. Lyndsay is a credit to his development and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
My daughter was with Lyndsay from when I went back to work after maternity leave and settled straight away. Lyndsay is very professional yet extremely friendly and welcoming. My daughter came home with a diary of what she had been doing and had went on day trips with Lyndsay and the other kids. Lyndsay helped us establish my daughters feeds as well as we had started weaning at the time she started with her and I can say she did a better job than we could have. She makes you feel very welcome and part of her family and shows so much love and support for all the kids she has. I was so upset when we had to relocate back to our home town as my daughter loved spending her time with Lyndsay. One day if we move back we shall be coming back to her as nobody was as good as she is. :)
