About Me
Little Darlings London is base on Holland Road, W14 and is a small, friendly and very happy Ofsted registered childcare setting in a loving, home environment. We are open Monday - Friday from 8am - 6pm, 50 weeks per year (closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas period) and we are a unique combination of a childminder/ small nursery. We look after up to 16 children per day ages from 6 months - 5 years.
We offer places for 4 or 5 days per week.
We are do not offer half days or part time places.
We are passionate about teaching our children the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, eating fresh, seasonal food, understanding and respecting animals and nature, good manners and being kind and respectful to each other.
We provide fresh, healthy snacks and a cooked lunch, using whenever possible only organic and sustainable ingredients.
We have a very friendly dog and cat who live at the setting, a large, private, secure garden with a sand pit, paddling pool and gardening area for the children where they help to grow vegetables and feed the birds and squirrels as well as taking part in daily physical games and activities.
Inside we have lots of stimulating toys, books and puzzles and have a separate designated playroom/sleep room. we provide fun and educational activities including: creative play, kidsyoga, painting, drawing, reading, play dough and clay modelling, dressing up and role-play, water play, posting, threading and cooking. We offer pre-school lessons for the older children with one of our Montessori trained staff members in which they learn early writing, spelling, reading and maths to ensure that they are school ready.
We keep a development journal for each child following the EYFS guidelines that contains written and photographic evidence of your child's daily activities and their learning and development.
The business is owned and run by Diane who holds an English teaching qualification, is a former chef and trained to Level 3 in childcare. Five other members of staff make up the team. All the staff are qualified and registered with Ofsted, hold a full DBS police check and are Paediatric First Aid trained.
My Experience
Little Darlings has been open since January 2011. During that time we have looked after children from the age of 4 months up to 8 years old. When the children are in our care we are responsible for their safety and well-being, providing them with nutritious, healthy meals, weaning, planning stimulating activities and recording their progress and development.
We are very proud to have created a warm and loving environment in which the children of all ages interact together. We believe that this really benefits their learning and development and helps them feel at home and part of the family here.

Diane and her team, are caring, loving and qualified carers for babies and kids.
I see their dedication every day, we receive daily sheets. And our daugther loves going to her nursery. They are warm to all the babies they look after and make sure to provide the latest toys, books.

My son started at LD at in Sept 2014 and has just left (Sept 2017) to go to big school nursery. Diane and the team have been wonderful both in caring for and nurturing my son and in supporting me. The children are constantly occupied with creative and imaginative activities and play and are provided with delicious home cooked organic lunches and healthy snacks. The setting is ideal for the personal and social development of the children as the babies and toddlers interact with each other closely; it really is like a big family just with a higher adult:child ratio (1:3). Diane also has a garden so in good weather the children are always outside. There are 2 patient cats and a very lovely young dog, who also make an important contribution to every child's development! From day one I felt confident that George was being cared for in a safe and loving environment. From a business perspective, Diane is highly professional and impeccably organised. 5 stars to everyone at LD, thank you, I can't recommend you highly enough!
