Well, what can I say about Cherie? In a word? Excellent! She is the first childminder I have ever used, and I couldn’t be happier, to the point where I wonder why I hadn’t looked into sending my 2 older children to a childminder rather than a nursery.

I found Cherie literally the week I was due to start work after a year’s mat leave. She was very accommodating and proactive in arranging an interview and 2 introductory sessions with my 1 year old, given the time constraint.

One of the main things I felt about Cherie upon meeting her was how maternal she is and the fact that she is obviously in this profession due to her love of children. Instantly I felt at ease.

My son has been with Cherie on a part-time basis for about a month now and he has settled in well. Cherie is brilliant at keeping in touch throughout the day with photos and videos which are a delight! She prides herself on a ‘home from home’ setting and I completely agree. My son always has a clean face and fresh nappy when I collect him. She also tailors the day according to your child’s needs and is always happy to give my little one a warm cuddle, which is the most important thing. My son is an extremely slow eater at times, and she has even been known to preserver for an hour to get him fed! That’s how dedicated she is.

Overall, I couldn’t recommend Cherie highly enough! I’m so pleased to have found her.
