About Me
My name is kayley and I’m a caring, passionate, hardworking individual who loves working with children. I always aim to support the children’s learning and developments and I’m have very good understanding on child development/EYFS. I have a level 2 and level 3 NVQ in Child Devleopment and gained this in 2018 and 2020. I'm currently working in a nursery as a nursery practitioner in St Mary's Bay near Dymchurch. In the previous nurseries i have worked up the career ladder to become a room manager in two settings, at my current job i'm a nursery practitioner as its a smaller settling as doesnt require room managers. I have worked in nurseries most of my career and had the opportunity to become a full time nanny for twin girls, which i throughly enjoyed.
I'm looking to go back into Nannying full time as this is something i have always been passionate about and want to persue this career path. I also offer babysitting options for evenings and weekends.
I'm also on the yearly DBS update system and have a current paediatric infant and child Level 3 First Aid.
I enjoy driving and distance to travel to and from work isn't a problem.
My Experience
I have worked with children ranging from 6 months -5 years and I also have personal experience with my nieces and nephews ranging from 1 year – 7 years, two of them have additional needs. I would say im very close to my family and enjoy spending time with them. To add to my experience i have personally (personal experience) taken care of children from a newborn age upwards.
I’m currently working in a nursery as a nursery practitioner in the in St Marys Bay near Dymchurch. I have been working here since April 2024. I do enjoy my early years practitioner’s role and the experience, but am looking to return to the role of a nanny which I’m very passionate about.
I have a lot of experience working in nurseries and have been pursuing this career for over 9 years now. This has given me the privilege to help support all those little children’s lives that I have had the chance to teach and help each one reach there milestones, this gives me so much joy. I have learnt so much within this industry, for example when I started I wasn’t the most confident as an apprentice but I soon worked on this to become the best practitioner I can be (there is always room to learn new skills and knowledge). I have worked up the career ladder and started as a apprentice and through this gained my level 2 and 3 NVQ in Child Development, I then went onto an early years practitioner role and after this became a room manager. Currently in my nursery they do not have a room managers position as its a smaller nursery to the ones I have been to, so my role is a Early Years Practitioner. I very much enjoy creating stimulating activities for the children to learn and develop and enjoy being outdoors with the children promoting their physical development and so much more. I would describe myself as a hardworking individual the give 100% in everything I do, caring and attentive and very reliable and dependable person.
In 2022 I had the opportunity to become a full time nanny, I took care of twin girls that were 10 months old. I very much loved this position and being a part of the girls lives and helping them to reach their milestones and grow as individuals. A normal routine for the girls would be to support during breakfast time, then onto getting them ready for the day, we would attend a playgroup every morning and once a week music class and then either head to the park for physical development and fresh air or went back home to put them both asleep. Whilst they were asleep I would tidy up their playroom, do their laundry and prepare a nice lunch for them. Once they woke up and had their lunch, I would set up stimulating activities for the children to achieve during the afternoon. If we had to chance in the afternoon we would go for a walk or head to the park or playdates and soft play. Then bring the girls back home for dinner with their parents. Routines were changed to suit the children’s age.
I have completed various training courses relating to my Early Years Practitioner role in the nursery setting. I have my Paediatric First Aid certificate. I'm always willing to learn and gain more skills and knowledge to improve myself.
My Qualifications
I have a level 2 and 3 NVQ EYE. I have paediatric first aid (level 3). I’m on the DBS yearly update system. I’m up to date on all training requirements such as safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management etc.
