About Us

Welcome to Bright Beginnings, where children’s learning stands out. We are based at the heart of pebsham in Bexhill. A brand new small nursery environment taking children from birth-five. Kirsty and Lois are sisters and have both worked within childcare and have individually gained 15 years experience with working with 0-8 Years old, delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage in various settings.

We have a wide range of experience with supporting children that need additional support, for example Special Educational needs and Children who have English as an additional language. We are able to identify children’s next steps and be able to support their families at home too

We both have a passion for caring for children and this extends from our large family as we are 2 of 11 children and enjoy playing and extending children’s knowledge and experiences through play in a safe and secure environment.

At Bright Beginnings we offer the children a wide range of activities and resources to extend their knowledge and understanding within the 7 learning outcomes of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
These activities range from messy play, heuristic play, developing the 5 senses, physical activities, cooking, road safety, balancing and using equipment such as bikes and trikes, building friendships, working together and sharing resources.

We believe that children should have the opportunity to play outside every day and this experience is so valuable to their learning, we feel that children are able to learn about the different seasons and changes in the weather.

The childminding service is situated within the lower floor of a converted bungalow; this provides children access to a large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge, and a garden measuring 120 feet. We are able to offer the children a quiet space within a themed cosy area. We are situated within an ideal located that is close to the woods, Local Park, fields, groups and the shops.

We aim to provide children with a home from home environment and enables them to learn through play whilst being supported by adults. We aim to provide children with the resources to extend their play and become independent within the environment and learn at a rate which is best suited to them.

We will observe the children within their current interests and inform parents of their child’s interests and ideas to build upon at home. We believe that the children’s contribution is vital within their learning journey and as practitioners and parents/carers; we will work in partnership to support this.
