January - January 2017 Temporary Live-Out Nanny For 13-Month-Old
Shalford - England

A lovely family required a temporary nanny for their young son. Although it was a short role I enjoyed the interaction that I had with both the parents and their adorable son. I dealt with feeding, changing and keeping him entertained during the day.


November 2016 - January 2017 Temporary Live-In Nanny For 8-Month-Old
Guildford - England

I worked for a lovely, down to earth family in Guildford. I worked 4.5 days a week and looked after their delightful daughter. My days started when she woke up and finished at around 7:15 PM, I also attended to her if she woke up during the night. Along with looking after the baby, I was also expected to perform basic nursery duties - keeping the nursery tidy, sterilising bottles, making sure the baby's clothes are washed and organised etc. Due to both the baby's and parents lovely nature, I was very sad to leave role in January.


August – August 2016 Babysitter For 13-Month-Old
Guildford – England

I was recently contacted through childcare.co.uk and asked to babysit for a families lovely 13-month-old boy. I dealt with changing, feeding and putting him down for the evening. I really enjoyed this role as it allowed me to further my experience in caring for infants, the boy’s mother is also delightful.

February - August 2016 Manny For Beijing Family
Fangshan Beijing – China

During my time in Beijing, I worked 6 days per week for a lovely local family. I was responsible for their 9-year-old son. Along with organizing his date-to-day life and schooling , I also helped to arrange play dates and various other activities. Although this role was challenging at times, it allowed me to make use of my language skills. In late August the family plan to move to Singapore, unfortunately they were unable to provide a visa for me. The family was very sad on my departure and an excellent reference is available from the mother.

I was contacted through childcare.co.uk and asked to babysit for their 2 sons. One of whom was still in nursery school. I babysat for them on two occasions, my duties were simple; entertain both the boys and put them to bed around 8:30 PM On both occasions I read for the boys before they slept.

During my time at the school I have learnt a great deal about classroom management and lesson planning, and I am happy to report my class achieved exceptional results in their exams. This has been one of my most enjoyable teaching contracts and I am sad to depart in order to begin studying a second degree in England.

Once a week, I tutored a lovely 11-year-old girl. The bulk of our time was used to study both written and oral English, I was particularly keen to teach her the importance of conjugating verbs. At the end of our tutorial, we would also discuss the cultural differences between China and Europe.

During my time temping in a nursery school, one of my student’s mothers approached me about giving her son private English lessons. I would visit their home once a week, the lessons would usually last for 1 hour. During our lessons, we would play a variety of different games that were related to the English language. I briefly worked 4 hours per day, 5 days per week at a private household. I was in charge of tutoring an 8 year old boy in a number of different primary subjects, these included: English, Math’s, History, ICT and Science. Due to the boy’s nationality and age I also helped him improve both his written and spoken English. Although it was a challenging role, It allowed me to get used to working with tricky children.
