We struggled with the idea of getting our little one a babysitter and are so glad we found Maddy. She’s infinitely experienced, unflappable and accommodating. Our daughter loves her and took to her the moment they met, which was reassuring. She always has ideas for where to take her and handles wake-ups and fussiness very well. We really like Maddy and are very happy to recommend her.

Thank you, what a lovely review.
You’re a lovely family & I love working with Zadie very much - she’s a real character!
Many thanks for your kind words. X
Wife and I from the USA on vacation in London with our 9yr old boy and looking for a date night. Never used a service like this and was a bit worried to be perfectly honest... leaving our son with a stranger. Maddy was prompt to reply to our needs, was on time, friendly and presentable. Our little boy loved hanging out with Maddy and said she was "a lot of fun"!
Thanks Maddy all the best !!

All the best
Maddy has been taking care of my son and daughter for a few weeks now, and I am extremely happy with her. Our schedule can vary week to week and she is very flexible and adjusts without any issues. My children adore her and she was always plans activities for them, even when they are at home. She is always so bubbly and happy, and I feel very comfortable leaving my children in her care.

Maddy is a very experienced nanny – she is knowledgeable on routines to ensure order in the house, which can be very helpful. With that comes very strong views about what babies/toddlers should do or how they should act. While that can be valuable, we felt our wishes as parents and our parenting style were not followed/respected. Personally, I felt very hurt about the many times I felt I and our child were judged with comments such as ‘He is 18m, he should be used to this’ (referring to our baby not yet being able to put himself to sleep by himself at night).
Maddy helpfully accepted last minute to babysit our baby overnight. She offered to sleep train our baby, knowing that nights was something we had trouble with, but I told her that it didn’t make sense for us to sleep train him for a night only, so it would be only a regular ‘overnight’, he would be put to sleep by rocking and should he wake up at night, he should be given his bottle for comfort. We were particularly tired from a rough week at work and had guests sleeping over so it was particularly important that the night went smoothly. Maddy however insisted in letting our baby cry in the cot to put him to sleep, and later in the middle of the night as well. He got so upset in the middle of the night that I had to nurse him in order to calm him down, at which point Maddy said ‘it was never going to work like this so she was going to sleep’. At that point I had to take our baby to our own room and he slept with us. Maddy nonetheless requested she be paid sleep training price for a full night.
We had very different ideas of how overnight babysitting should run, but Maddy may be a good options for parents who have similar approach to her as to how children should be raised.

So Claire approached me in March and wants a live in nanny and interviewed me for an afternoon position, to take over from her morning nanny (who brings her 1 year old to work with her no offence to Nanny who had not been with Claire long & seemed very capable)
She complained about her son not sleeping through the night, and him not talking yet.
I advised her in my professional capacity as an experienced and successful nanny. She asked my advice during interview I gave it to her.
She checked my references which were excellent but didn’t get back to me about the position.
Claire called me to babysit overnight as her son had kept her up, I put him to bed after his bath let him cry for a few mins, I settled him with some methods that I use he went off to sleep Claire went out with husband & friend for dinner, baby slept soundly.
During the small hours I was asleep next to the cot in the bed when he stirred, naturally I awoke I got up to settle him & to my surprise Claire was at the door within seconds so quick in fact that I thought it impossible that she hadn’t been stood outside the door & not just awoken from her bed and before I’d even had the chance to try & settle him she took him off to her bed.
At no time was her child in any real distress and I had to come to the conclusion that Claire doesn’t really want my help and would just like to continue with the habitual behaviour which keeps them both up 3/4 times a night.
All in all I probably spent all of an hour or 2 with Claire and her knowledge of my childcare approach is limited at best, why she would want to mar my profile with this review I don’t know, maybe she’s tired!
Best of luck Claire
Maddy has watched our autistic son a number of times and we cannot be happier, she is flexible, caring, punctual and trustworthy. I cannot recommend her more as she provides great service and our son enjoys when she comes to watch him.
Thanks

Thank you so much for your kind words guys, Gion teaches me as well as me teaching him. I actually love babysitting for him as I look forward to helping him with his autism - even if it is just for a short time. I look forward to working with you all more in the future.
Maddy joined our family two months ago and has quickly become an integral part of our daily life. Our two children (6&3) adore and respect her and we rely on her totally.
Maddy is 100% reliable, flexible and an excellent communicator. She is thoughtful and always willing to go the extra mile.
When Maddy is in charge, I know the children will have fun, be well fed and are completely safe. She is firm, but fair and I am very grateful to her for all she does for us.

Thank you so so much. I can honestly say it was a pleasure working with you and I only wish you had stayed in London so I could continue looking after Rose & Arthur, two of the kindest, sweetest & well behaved kids I’ve had the pleasure to care for.
Wishing you all the best in Bath x
The best thing I can say about Maddy is that my boys LOVE her. When I leave them in her care, I know that they are happy. She is very knowledgeable about childcare; for example, one of the very first questions she asked me when we first met was, "Where do you keep their snacks?" This is vital information that a parent takes for granted and which is essential to keep the kiddies happy! Maddy takes instruction very well, but even better, she is self-motivated. She often comes to my house with a plan about what she would like to do with the boys--a favourite is taking them out to the New River to see the ducks. If you're an Islington local, I can guarantee that Maddy knows about every single playgroup and playgrounds in the area--in addition to being current on many child-friendly attractions around London. My family are simply delighted to have found Maddy and I personally feel anybody who has her as their childminder is very lucky.

Thank you Sarah x
Maddy is a bubbly and charismatic nanny who took care of our 10 month old twins for two months She was easy to talk to and quick to understand our requirements, not to mention always in a good mood! She was also fantastically flexible whenever our needs changed. The kids took an immediate shine to her and she was full of great ideas on how to keep them entertained. We learnt a lot from Maddy and she really brought the kids on while we was with us.

Thanks so much Erik for your kind words and lovely review, the twins were a joy to work with, happy, healthy, hearty babies that are a credit to yourself & Steve and I enjoyed my time with you all.
Maddy is like a modern day Mary Poppins! A great mix of all the qualities you want for a nanny. We used her when in London temporarily to have our third child and she helped with our older two 4.5 years and 2 years. She has great local knowledge of the area and the daily activities going on. We will definitely use her again when we are next in London.

Maddy has been with us since beginning of this year. She's fantastic. Kids love her. Maddy is no pushover and keeps them well in line but they don't seem to realize as they're having so much fun. She's made friends with other nannies at school, knows the teachers and other kids. She's also flexible if (when) one of us gets delayed getting home from work.
