Part time nanny required to care for our children who will be aged 7, 5 and 16 months from mid September 2023 on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a nanny who can use their own initiative and imagination to make the most of the baby groups available in the local area and also to create interactive play sessions at home and in the local outdoor area. We are looking for someone incredibly reliable and punctual, who is interested in building a good long term working relationship with our family, as the children grow.

The ideal candidate will be interested in child development and helping our children learn and grow into confident young people.

Working hours and Location

We are based in Exton LE15.

We require childcare for 3 days a week Monday - Wednesday 9am– 5pm

There is an expectation that the nanny will occasionally be available for overtime from 8am or until 6pm, with notice.

Evening or weekend babysitting opportunities will be available if the nanny is available and agreeable to this.

Responsibilities

During school term times the nanny will be responsible on a sole charge basis for accompanying our toddler to one organised group activity each day and encouraging interaction with other children and the local environment. An outdoor play session and free play in our home each day will be up to the individual to plan a mixture of stimulating activities and required downtime for her.

During school term times, the nanny will be responsible some school pick ups and for arranging tea for the older two children when they return home from school.

During part of the school holidays, the nanny will be responsible for all three children and will be required to arrange appropriate activities to keep them all busy at home or out and about. The older children may also attend clubs etc during the school holidays.

Most importantly, the nanny will be responsible for creating a safe, loving, secure environment in which our children will feel happy, confident and feel free to explore and grow.

The nanny should plan and prepare snacks and lunch each day with a small teatime meal most afternoons.

Light nursery duties are included in the role, including leaving the children’s bedrooms in a presentable state and some washing and tidying away of children’s clothes, toys, crockery etc.

Requirements

UK recognised or equivalent childcare qualification
Current DBS
Up to date, recognised paediatric first aid qualifications
Non-smoker
5+ years nanny experience
Available for 3 days a week from early September 2023
Excellent spoken English
Ofsted registered and accepts childcare vouchers/ tax free childcare scheme

Desirable

Experience looking after more than one child at a time
Willing to take on housekeeper tasks
