Amazing childminding experience
My son Ezra started settling in sessions with Laura when he was 10 months' old until 3 years, 3 months. We recently had to say our goodbyes as we moved back home to Scotland. I wish we were able to bring Laura and her family with us :( The childminding experience she gave was everything we could have asked for and more.
As a nervous first time mum, having my baby during covid/lockdown, and away from my support network, Laura put me at ease as soon as I met her. She is so patience, kind, warm and friendly- with so much energy I have no idea how she does it! She is consistent with sharing updates, pictures and notes whenever Ezra was at hers, and she was flexible too to accommodate work schedules which I really appreciated.
She treated Ezra like an extended part of her family, and he was so happy, content and flourished under her care. There was so much choice for toys to play with and she would aim to take them out most days (unless he and the other kids overruled her to stay home and play haha). There was always an adventure- local playgroups, the farm, playparks, soft-plays, even a simple walk to splash in some puddles. I also liked how she would meet with other local childminders for days out too so Ezra could mix with other children.
She was also quick to pick up on what Ezra was interested in and focus on this through his play and learning. He has learned how to count, the alphabet, so many songs, dances- this is all from Laura's! I also loved how each day began and finished with some school aged children and the school pick up/drop offs- he had so many friends of all different ages and it was amazing to see them interact with him (I distinctly remember one time when he was little the girls were in a circle reading him a story and brushing his hair haha). All the children there were so lovely, its such a nice group.
In summary, I thoroughly recommend Laura and would be happy to provide more information on our experience.
