About Me

I am a Care Inspectorate registered childminder living in the centre of Milngavie village, Glasgow. I offer a unique, compassionate service with the interests of the child at heart. With an attachment style of care I strive to ensure all children feel safe, valued and happy in a home from home style environment. I have recently gained all grade 5’s from my first inspection.

With a plethora of activities on my doorstep, children will be able to engage in stimulating activities outdoors in a safe environment. They will be encouraged to grow and develop through sensory and imaginative play. Indoor activities such as music classes, reading and crafting will all be tailored to each child’s stage and development to aid in any new skills they are learning. have a large and bright playroom in my home with a wide range of toys and activities. I have a quiet room for children to sleep peacefully as they wish. Children will be able to take part in relaxing mindfulness exercises and learn baby sign language if desired.

My aim is for children to have a lot of fun and leave my home happy and smiling. I am a member of the SCMA who keep me updated on new legislation and training. I am also fully insured and a member of the PVG scheme. I work closely with parents to ensure my service is as compatible as possible and the transition between child’s home and mine is positive for them. All children in my care are valued and treated with the up most respect.

I am registered to provide a care service to a maximum of 6 children at any one time under the age of 16, of whom no more than 3 are not yet attending primary school and of whom no more than 1 is under 12 months. The numbers are inclusive of my own
family. I am able to provide pick ups/drop offs to Milngavie nursery and Primary School.

I am an artist and love to draw and paint. I have displayed my work in various exhibitions throughout Glasgow. I am also a musician and composer and have written, recorded and performed on 7 studio albums. I have been lucky enough to perform in various venues througout Scotland such as the Royal Panopticon, Traverse Theatre, The Arches and created music for professional Scottish dancers. I will utilize my creative experience to my childminding service. Self expression through music, art, dance has a very positive impact on the developing minds of children.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, walks and writing music. I am a vegan and have an extensive knowledge of nutrition and can cater for all allergen requirements. One of the unique strengths of my service is that hearty, vegan meals are included so parents can rest assured their children are receiving tasty, nutritious and exciting plant based meals and snacks. A weekly menu is displayed on this website so parents can see exactly what I am serving this week.
