Hello! My name is Ciara, I am a dedicated childcare provider available for work in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Since receiving my childcare qualifications in 2016 I worked for a year in France as an au pair for a wonderful family of 4, and have since been nannying in Scotland for approximately 7 years.
In one of my nanny positions I have gained experience with newborns and taking sole charge of 4 children at once, so can confidently take busy schedules in my stride. I also have experience working collaboratively in a staffed household, am PVG registered and have the use of a car to use for work.
In my nanny roles I have loved spending time outdoors with the children and taking them out for exciting and enriching activities such as visits to the library, museum, toddler groups and playdates with their friends. I personally love to implement gentle parenting techniques, and follow the interest of the child when planning our time together.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since gaining my Early Education and Childcare qualification in 2016, both abroad and in Scotland.
I've had the pleasure of caring for some truly wonderful children and have learned so much along the way. I have experience from newborn to age 12 and can confidently manage a large number of children.
I've fulfilled various roles such as mother's help, sole charge nanny and nanny/housekeeper.
My Qualifications
I have achieved my NC and HNC in Early Education and Childcare at Fife College between 2014-2016, learning theory in class and gaining practical experience in nurseries and primary one classes. I had Disclosure certificates for college, teaching sunday school and volunteering during the summer.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday for either one full time position, or multiple part time positions. I'm also open to a nanny share role if you know other parents who need care on the same days as you!
