About Me
Hi there! I'm Amber, I am 25 years old and have been childminding with my parents for 4 years and babysitting for 10 years. My parents (Sally and Colin) have been childminding for 18 years and are OFSTED rated outstanding. I have recently had my OFSTED inspection and was rated good please feel free to read through my inspection report. I have up to date DBS, safeguarding and paediatric first aid certification. Our childminding setting is based at our house in Beckenham, we live next to a beautiful allotment that the children love, we are so lucky to have such and abundance of wildlife and nature on our doorstep, it also means we are able to grow fruit and vegetables that the children can pick and eat. We have a large playroom (cabin) in our garden where the children play in the winter, this is equipped with double glazing and heating. In the summer we spend most of the time in the garden with paddling pools and water play. Lunch is cooked by my dad (colin) the children especially love his organic homemade red pasta sauce, which we eat in the dining room. We do Yoga and dancing in the cabin and art and crafts activities are done in the house by either myself or my mum (Sally). Currently we do not have any vaccancies but things are always changing so do please get in touch if our setting interests you! I am available for babysitting most evenings in the week and at weekends.

My Qualifications

Sally, Colin and Amber looked after our daughter from 1 until she left for preschool a few months ago. After looking at every nursery in the area, I knew as soon as I met them that this would be the right place for her. She thoroughly enjoyed her time here and often mentions how much she misses going here.
We got photos daily of the trips to the allotment, all their art activities and every day was a glowing review of the food.
I really can’t recommend them enough and feel very lucky to have found you!

We've had our son and daughter with Sally, Amber and Colin for several years. It's been a really positive experience for our children and us. We've all enjoyed a genuine and personable relationship. It's been (and is) more like an extended family than anything else.
The setting is lovely, with a playhouse at the back of the garden and an allotment nearby. There are always fun activities on the go including lots of arts and crafts (Sally and Amber are rather passionate about it).
We feel really lucky to have found Sally back then. There are enough children to make it a suitable social environment for everyone but not too many for it to become impersonal.
Sally has always been very helpful and accommodating when things go left-field (we've been 'blessed' with a fair amount of that over the years, as most young parents are).
We happily and highly recommend Amber and gang to anyone who is looking for a wholesome setting for their children.

Amber is a brilliant and fun childminder! She looked after our son and I felt so confident and safe leaving him in her care! She works hard to understand child development and came up with positive ways to support their development- thanks so much Amber for looking after our little boy so well! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe, engaging and homely environment for their little ones!

Amber has been a regular babysitter for us over the past 5+ years. She has done full days, pick ups and evenings for us, including when our youngest was a few months old. Our kids love her. She is engaging and playful with kids, and has a no-nonsense attitude which makes everything go smoothly. You and your family are in great hands with Amber!

Our little boy stayed with Amber, Sally and Colin from age 2 to nearly 4 when he started preschool, and we were delighted to have found them. They had a lovely setting, with a great playroom, full of varied toys for free-play. They live alongside the allotments and regularly go on little adventures there, to pick fruits, visit the chickens, have little races and throw sticks in the river. They also do crafts in the house as well as reading stories, singing songs, dancing, learning numbers and plenty of garden play. Amber and family took great care of our little boy and he really grew in confidence during the time they looked after him. Amber also babysits for us occasionally, and our son loves this. Highly recommended!
