Wendy has been my childminder for 5 years now, caring for both my children. She has brought such love, care and happiness to them both (and us all!) in lovely setting that they both adore going there every day. That has been such a relief to me as a working mum. They are given healthy food and healthy activities with plenty of trips to local parks, playgrounds and further afield to the supermarket or shops on the bus - the kinds of things I would be doing with them if they were home with me. There is a huge range of toys for fun and to help them with their development. I've also really appreciated Wendy's communication - I get a daily summary of what the children have done that day so I can talk about it with the children and feel involved in their lives away from home as well as regular feedback of their development against national guidelines. This is something which can't happen as easily in larger settings / nurseries - a big benefit of Wendy running a smaller more intimate setting. However, they have also been able to experience bigger settings as Wendy has taken them to pre-school for me as part of their day. My children are moving on to school soon and we will all miss Wendy and her family hugely. We were so lucky to find her - thanks for everything, Wendy!
