About Me

Hello, I'm Manon. I'm a kind, fun and bubbly person who loves children. Before going to university to study psychology and neuroscience, I worked at as an early years apprentice at a nursery and did nanny work for a lovely family. However, my primary experience with children comes from being a mother myself. My daughter is starting school this September, so I thought it would be the perfect time to start nannying again. My one-year-old son will be happily alongside me.

My approach with all children is rooted in gentle parenting, which emphasises patience, understanding, and positive reinforcement. Instead of relying on traditional discipline, I focus on guiding children through clear explanations, modeling positive behaviors, and nurturing their capacity for empathy. I firmly believe in validating all emotions; children are always encouraged to express their feelings—be it sadness, anger, or joy—and I work with them to recognise these emotions and develop healthy coping strategies.

Our days are active and diverse. We love spending time outdoors, whether it's enjoying walks, playing at the local parks, or visiting the zoo (we have an annual pass!). Indoors, we engage in quieter, creative play like reading, coloring, building with blocks and LEGOs, and imaginative play. We also enjoy attending local playgroups, which adds to our social experiences. Our day and what we do will be tailored to meet your child(ren)'s individual needs such as meal times, energy levels and nap schedules.
