Jo is a wonderful experienced tutor. She has delivered fantastic tutoring to my seven-year-old daughter particularly in Maths and English. She has huge experience in special needs children like mine which is hard to find in a tutor. She has a wonderful friendly pleasant demeanour when teaching as well as fantastic easy to learn methods for my daughter which helped her pick up maths skills she otherwise struggled with.
She is quick to diagnose where my daughter was at and what her strengths and weaknesses were and arranged lesson planning around that to set goals to achieve. This I feel got the best learning out of my daughter. We will definitely be using her as our go to tutor in the near future again!

Jo worked for us as a home tutor for 3 weeks during Covid19 as we were struggling to homeschool our 6yo. She was fantastic. She planned and organised lessons based on what his school had set for him, and on her own KS1 materials. She allowed him some daily choices in his schedule (3hrs) mixing in lots of outdoor play/ breaks with reading, maths, writing and handwriting. Despite his reluctance to settle on some days, she managed his moods appropriately and really got the best out of him, with lots of encouragement and a firm professionalism. He returned to school (yr1) ready to learn and already back in the rhythm, which we credit to Jo. We hope to work with her again during the summer holidays when we return to Derbyshire.
