Was so nervous about leaving my little one with someone else but Birsel was amazing. I used Birsel as a childminder for my 2 year old for 18 months. She was so sensitive to my little ones’ separation anxiety and reassured me and kept me updated. He would come home so happy. She fed him nutritious food and take him out to the park and library. It was the perfect setting for my little one who simply would not settle at nursery. She is very caring and always willing to help. So lucky to have found her. Would not hesitate to recommend her.

Birsel has looked after our 2 year old daughter for 15 months now, and the only reason she will no longer be our childminder is because we are moving out of London. Losing Birsel is probably the worst thing about our move! Our daughter adores her and runs in happily at most drop-offs. She has absolustely thrived in Birsel's care - her speech, her eating, her coordination and her independence have all come on in strides. She seems to learn something new everyday!
Birsel is super-reliable and flexible. She obviously takes great care to nurture the children in her care and has well-thought out plans for each day. She's always responsive and engages with us on helping our daughter develop. We've been impressed by the range of nourishing home-cooked foods she offers our daughter (who has become a great eater thanks to Birsel!) and the amount of fresh air and exercise the children get.
We will miss Birsel hugely, and anyone who chooses her as a childminder will be very lucky!

Our 2 year old daughter has been with Birsel for the last 9 months. We cannot recommend her highly enough! From very early on our daughter settled in very well with Birsel. Birsel is very attentive and caring, she spends lots of time with her one-on-one teaching her new skills and taking her out on trips to the library and the park. We were sent photographs and updates throughout the day. Birsel has a lovely home with a large selection of toys and a large garden. We have seen our daughter thrive in the time she has been with Birsel, her language has really advanced and she has become a lot more confident. Although she was alone with Birsel most of the day, she loved the school pick up and the older children that were around after school- we think this was really good for her development and for learning good habits as she ate dinner and played with them in the afternoons. They were really caring and she usually didn't want to come home at pick up!
Starting with Birsel was a very smooth transition and she happily strolled in at drop off very early on- we think this is because she felt very safe and was looked after very well at Birsel's. She ate very well (lunch and dinner) and had a lot more variety than at home. Birsel makes all her own food and very often cooked with our daughter too. Birsel is very approachable and we found her very flexible if we needed to change days or have extra hours- she was always happy to discuss what they had been up to at drop off and provided us with sheets-that had her naps/ food schedule as well as her weekly 30 minute assessment of her development-on a regular basis for us to add our comments.
Sadly we are moving out of the area and have had to leave Birsel's but she was very loved and we will miss her a lot.

Birsel has looked after our two children from the ages of 1 and 3 (now 5 and 7), initially full-time and more recently with wrap around care. Our son has additional needs, which she was capable and accommodating of. She is reliable, flexible and kind. Our children have always loved their time with her. She makes an effort to follow the early years curriculum, ensures they get fresh air and exercise daily, and cooks home cooked food - they eat a greater variety with her than at home! My children have thrived under her care.
We are very happy to recommend Birsel to any parent.

Our daughter was full time with Birsel for almost two years. I can say that she loved being with her starting from the first days. We are full time working parents and she was very accommodating when it comes to drop off/ pick up times, would always open the door with a warm and wide smile.
As our daughter was there for 2 years, we went through lots of changes (feeding, sleeping, toilet training) and Birsel’s vast experience in childcare made things much easier. She’s very energetic and takes kids out for play time or activities every day, provides nutritious home cooked food, kind and fair to kids (even when she had her son among them). During pick up, she always had time to talk about my daughter’s day.
I highly recommend Birsel as a childminder!
