About Me
Professional family looking for wraparound care Monday to Thursday AM (06:45-09:45) school & nursery drop off and and PM (3:15-7:15) school & nursery pickup afterschool (tea, bath &bed) care from Sept 2025. Candidate free to pursue own interests/ studies or other work between 10 and 3pm. Additional hours ideally in school holidays. School 2 miles from our home and nursery 4 miles from home. Position ideally for 2 years.
Family of two doctors with 2 girls (6 & 4), a boy (1) and a dog, village setting, own car required, with enough room for car seats, local person ideally but open to live in and accommodation provided for late finishes if needed.

Looking for a candidate with plenty of childcare experience, flexibility and can do attitude who enjoys working with children and maintaining an organised routine for before and after school. As we are rural, driving confidently and owning a car, and being a safe reliable driver on country roads is really important for daily school runs, although the actual distances involved are small (the school is about 2 miles from the house).
We are ideally looking for somebody for two years.
Both parents are hospital doctors and so we are usually home by 7 but sometimes we have later finishes requiring babysitting till 10pm (not more than 4 per month). We are looking for 4 days per week nanny to get the kids dressed, give breakfast and drive them to school/ nursery and pick them up and care for them after school until bedtime.
We ideally want a split day with before school and after school sessions. Therefore the job is also suitable for somebody with other commitments during the day for a few hours, e.g a mature student or professional nanny caring for another local family for a few hours, or somebody with horse to attend to etc. We would want more hours during school holidays- however can supplement with holiday camps etc.

We have own private double bedroom and bathroom available if you wish to stay over for later finishes or during the week at any point Monday to Thursday. We have occasional night shifts but can stagger these, however willingness to stay over occasionally is a plus!

Being a confident safe driver, ideally with your own car
Enjoys food prep and simple cooking for children and babies
Patient and kind
Responsible and reliable so we don't need to worry when we are at work
Communicative and honest
Looking to join our family and help the girls feel secure and loved
Flexible on hours e.g. if we get stuck in work late one day they will get time off in repayment.
Happy to pat our well trained dog now and then. We are happy to use a dog walker 4 days per week, or include this in your contract with additional hours several days per week if you are a dog person!
