About Me
We are looking for part time nanny for our 5 year old daughter who is reception.
Both parents work full time and we need help specifically on our office days (Tuesday and Thursday) plus one other day.
33 hours per week split over 3 days (7.15am -6.15pm). This could also be a wraparound role (3+3 hours) if preferred.
During term time duties will include dog walking and general errands during school hours of 8.45-3.45.
We are based in Claygate where she attends school. Must be competent driver with own car.
My Requirements
Sole charge of 5-year-old reception girl who attends school locally in Claygate. She is a very outgoing, energetic and chatty girl, she loves to be silly and has a great sense of humour.
We also have a 9-year-old pug, he is very relaxed and gentle. He enjoys short walks if the weather is good but otherwise prefers to stay indoors.
Both parents are both working in London and will not be at the house during the nanny’s working hours.
We are looking for a warm and loving nanny who is willing to support with household tasks when our daughter is at school.
This is not a full housekeeper role as our cleaner will continue to be responsible for all heavy-duty cleaning.
Term Time (30 weeks per annum)
AM:
• Wake daughter and get her ready for school (help her get dressed, brush her teeth, brush and style her hair, serve breakfast, prepare school snack & pack school bag)
• The school drop-off is from 8.30 – 8.40am and they operate a ‘drop and go’ system so you do not need to get out of the car
PM:
• Collect from school at 3.45pm
• Return home and prepare daughter a healthy snack
• Assist with reading and homework
• Play educational games and puzzles
• Prepare daughters dinner for 5.45pm
School Holiday (20 weeks per annum)
• Organise fun and educational activities and/or excursions
• Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for our daughter
• Attend and arrange playdates
• Drive to and from clubs/sports/holiday camp
Responsibilities
- Daughter’s schedule: Responsible for knowing which activities daughter has at school on given days and ensure she has the right kit (i.e. Swimming, PE, Forest School).
- Food preparation: Meal planning, prep and cooking for daughters’ meals and snacks. No requirement to cook for the parents.
- Daughter’s bedroom: Keep daughter’s room clean, tidy and well organised. Change bedding weekly (or in the event of an accident). Clothes to be hung up or folded away in her bedroom. Bagging, labelling, and putting away clothes that are outgrown.
- Ironing: Daughter’s ironing only (clothes, school uniform and bedding).
- Laundry: One load to be washed and hung out per day. Given we are a small family of 3 we do not separate our daughter’s laundry and instead separate into white, colour and darks which is more efficient and economical.
- Housekeeping: Keep house tidy and presentable, small amounts of hoovering, maintain an inventory of household supplies, manage restocking/replenishing.
- PA: Grocery shopping (online and in store), general errands (i.e. post office, dry cleaners, pharmacy). Coordinate and manage household contractors.
- Dog: Daily dog walk on the lead (c.30 mins), feed him breakfast and ad-hoc vet visits if required.
Must haves
- Excellent timekeeping and organisation skills
- Competent driver with own car
- Formidable references
- Good command of the English language
- Previous childcare experience
- Lots of energy (our daughter is a very outgoing and spirited child)
