My Experience

Since 2018 I have been working with children aged 12 months to preschool years in Private Nurseries and aged 4-10 in primary schools. I enjoy watching the children learn as they discover their gross motor skills and like to teach them how to read, write and draw.

I know it is very important to have patience and the spare time to develop a child's independent and practical skills, giving them your full attention. Whilst at University, I supported myself by working part time jobs and found a passion for working with nursery children under BusyBees Childcare. Working in Private Nurseries and schools allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge in EYFS, Key Stage 1-3. I developed valuable transferable skills such as time management, communication and problem solving. I like to have strong relationships with children and parents. Love playing games, making creative things with children whether inside or outdoors. I enjoy being outdoors in nature, going to parks or to the beach.

I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have an Enhanced DBS check. I am currently a Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant with an agency. I love helping families out with childcare and feel that working with children is a career which I will continue to do until I hit retirement age. Babysitting and nanny work is something that I would be happy and comfortable doing throughout the rest of my life. Completing tasks gives me a sense of achievement and I always strive to do my best to make someone's day better and that much easier.
In December 2020 I was enrolled onto a Level Three Diploma in Childcare and I was very happy to have obtained that in July 2022. I am over the moon to have this certificate as I know it will be highly valuable to have on my CV and in writing for any childcare settings in my future.
I have over 6 years of experience of working with young children in private nurseries and schools with both the Infants and Juniors through voluntary and paid agency work
I used to participate in regional Irish Dancing Competitions in the UK and assisted my Irish Dancing Teacher with the little ones who start their journey in the world of dance as young as aged 2. I enjoyed making their lessons fun and engaging.

BA Hons Degree in History
Paediatric First Aid Trained as of December 2019
Valid and fully DBS checked, Enhanced DBS
Level 3 Childcare- started December 2020 and completed in July 2022
Level 2 AON Maths- completed in September 2021 (a maths qualification which was part of my Level 3 course)

My Availability

I can offer babysitting, light housework, meal prepping, help with homework, basic tutoring. I am a clean and tidy person who will respect your home and keep it as you would like. If local I could possibly do school drop offs or pick ups..this would mean on foot- walking as I dont drive I'll be resuming lessons in the future when I find the right time and a new instructor and then I will complete another goal to have a car one day.

I'm affordable during these cost of living times working families are struggling to find the right person/nursery for their little ones with everything is going up I know a lot of settings might take advantage of families hard earned money I'd like to say that I am not the type who would ever rip someone off
I don't cost a fortune and just happy to help out
Babysitting brings a great deal of job satisfaction being able to look after little ones for parents who have returned to work, couples who want to have date nights again, single parents who just want a break and might not have anyone else to turn to for childcare
