My Summary
About Me
Hello and thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself.
I am a bilingual, educationally focused nanny, with a solid background in teaching and childhood development. I have lived and worked in several countries, three continents and settled now in London since 2015.
Together with the skills acquired from my experience as an educator, I use my formal trainings in acting and bodywork as valuable tools while working with children, in particular with those who are neurodivergent. My approach is both playful and educational and my aim is to create joy and harmony using a combination of gentleness, encouragement and positive reinforcement to establish a nurturing relationship and a happy, safe environment for the children I care for, support and teach. I have worked pretty much with any age group, from infants and toodlers to teenagers for over 10 years.
I am a cheerful and down to earth person who loves nature and the outdoors. Being naturally caring and emphatic allows me to establish a quick rapport with children and families alike. I work as a team with the parents, and the children see me not only as a person they can trust, but a friend to have fun with. I consider myself to be enthusiastic, very reliable, highly organised and proactive. With a solid and ample experience as a nanny, I have chosen this professional path because I genuinely cherish children and I feel privileged to work with them.
For infants and toddlers I can support their development and help them reach their milestones. Then, their transition from nursery to Reception and into Year 1. I have the experience and skills to encourage them to accomplish the first, most challenging tasks, like writing and sounding/blending in their first stages of reading, as well as promoting their creativity, self-expression, and enthusiasm for learning. For the older ones, I can help with homework or deliver more specific tutoring, learning support for SEN students, providing both organizational and study skills.
Regarding other practical aspects of a nanny role I am able to offer:
- School runs and taking children to after-school activities/clubs
- Encourage and supervise music practice, daily reading and spelling
- Run the weekly programs following the instructions provided by specialist support like OT, PT, SLT etc.
- Plan weekly menus and cook healthy and balanced children's meals
- Keep the children's areas tidy, including clearing the kitchen after meals
- Evening babysitting, overnight and proxy parenting when parents are travelling
- Establish/maintain routines and help with sleeping/eating habits
- Children's laundry and wardrobe organization + uniforms and sports kits
- Bath and bed time routine
- Plan outings and aged appropriate activities during half-term and holidays weeks.
- PA duties
- Native Spanish if you would like to rise your children bilingual
- Infants and toddlers routine and nursery duties.
I hold an enhanced DBS and the settle status that grants me the right to work in the UK.
I am interested in long term roles across the year, not only during term time, please. Open to both live out and live in positions.
Available from the 1st of April 2025.
Please, do not hesitate to contact me to have an informal conversation and discuss your needs further. It all comes to finding the he right match and feeling that we can be a great team!
Best regards,
Elisa
