Outstanding childminder

I feel so incredibly luckily that we managed to find Lorraine. I had looked around quite a few other places but couldn’t find quite the right fit for us and eventually, very luckily, was given Lorraine’s number by a friend. It’s hard to find the right words to describe just how brilliant Lorraine has been and how sad we are that we’re moving away (we actually considered not moving because of her). My daughter absolutely adores going to Lorraine’s house and made the most incredible transformation within weeks of starting. Changing from a really shy one year old, who hated being left with anyone but me or her dad, to an outgoing, confident little girl who seems now to be developing and learning at the speed of light. She rushes through Lorraine’s door in the morning, waving goodbye and shutting the door. Something I never thought would be possible. I have no doubt that it’s all down to what a fantastic childminder Lorraine is and the uniquely warm, nurturing, exciting setting she has created.
Every day seems to be packed with something new and fun. There’s climbing frames, wendy houses, mud kitchens, tents, sand, water, painting and lots more. There’s also trips out which my daughter particularly enjoys. When she gets home in the evening I can see she’s had a really happy stimulating time and she sleeps like a log! Every day now she stands by her pram in the morning holding her coat and shoes saying “RerRer”. Being able to leave my child in a place where I know she is really happy has been so valuable. It’s allowed me to go back to work completely safe in the knowledge that she is having a fantastic day. Anything less and I think I would have really struggled. I just feel so incredibly lucky that I managed to find such an amazing person to look after my little girl. Lorraine really is an absolutely outstanding childminder, and I can’t recommend her enough.
