Maria is brilliant. From the moment she walked through the door, she engaged and connected with our strong-willed 2.5yr old boy. She looked after him for 5 days over the summer holiday, in our house, whilst we worked from home. She thought of varied activities, took initiative in providing him with water and snacks when needed, had loads of patience (she even managed to convince him to first eat some healthy lunch before tucking into the biscuits they had made earlier that day…!). They had so much fun playing with puzzles, duplo, doing crafts, reading stories, going on little walks, etc. Maria brings a lot of her teaching expertise to the job. I highly recommend Maria. She was sincere, engaged, highly skilled, super patient, respectful of our parenting style, a great communicator and I heard so much laughter from them both throughout the week. Next time we need someone to cover the childcare I would ask her back without a doubt.
