My Summary

My Experience

I've worked in nurseries across Leeds and Manchester for three years, before and during my university studies. I worked at a nursery full-time for 10 months and my key children were aged 6 months to two years. A holistic approach was always centred with parents and I aided in the creation of support plans for children, tracking their progress through reports and observations, and liasising with families during pick-up/drop-off. Once I started university, I dropped my hours to part-time and worked across a variety of different nurseries in the Leeds and Manchester areas.
I also have 12 months experience working as a nanny for two families during a study abroad year in Australia. I cared for a 4-month-old infant and a 16-month-old toddler, helping with weaning, mealtimes/meal prep, changes, planning day trips out and domestic tasks whilst the children slept, such as folding washing and tidying.

My Qualifications

I have completed all relevant courses on the Busy Bees VLA as part of my employment at their nurseries. These include courses on first aid responses if a child is choking, weaning for young babies, how to deal with challenging behaviour in children, and creating age-appropriate activities for fostering child development.
I have also completed the following open university courses during my training: Attachment in the Early Years; Understanding Children; Babies Being Heard and Children’s Perspectives on Play.
I am paediatric first aid trained.

My Availability

During university term time, I will be available on weekends and 2 days during the week (I will be able to confirm which days once I receive my finalised timetable).

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.44 per hour
• Nannying from £11.44 per hour (gross)
