Nursery practitioner
Nightingales Nursery - Glasgow
November 2020 - present

I currently work in a family run West End nursery. In my job I provide high quality care for children and provide stimulating play experiences indoors and outdoors which meet their individual needs enabling me to monitor, track and record the children’s development. I help to support their personal needs such as changing, feeding and comforting the children during sleep time. I also take part in the Adventures with Alice training which can then be implemented throughout practice.


Brownie Leader
Girlguiding Scotland - Glasgow
August 2019 – Present

I am currently volunteering as a girl guiding leader and working towards completing my leadership training. I assist the girls in working towards badges and provide the girls activities to take part in which supports their wellbeing and doing everyday tasks. I also ensure that all girls are safe while attending Brownies

March 2020 to May 2020

Although I only spent a short time at Heathpark I managed to build bonds with both children and staff during snack and lunch time, and providing age and stage appropriate activities for the children to take part in. I also completed Azilo training which I found very helpful to be still taking part in training on the job.

In my job I helped to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy, child friendly environment. I worked with one to two-year-old children. My day to day tasks included but were not limited to making meals for the children, conducting activities and games for the children to partake in and helping the children do the toilet and learn how to use the restrooms. I supervised activities such as messy play, crafts, reading and outdoor/physical play.
