Hi, my name is Caitlin and I am 27 years old. I have 10 years of experience working with infants, children, and young people in a variety of settings. I have always loved working with babies and children and find it fascinating observing their development and being able to support them as they grow. I am naturally empathetic, patient and gentle with my approach. I enjoy being active as well as focusing on a whole-food diet and I am overall an organised, flexible, and understanding individual.
I am qualified to postgraduate level and I am currently completing a professional diploma in hypnotherapy and counselling. The course requires my attendance one Sunday a month (not during school holidays) and so my availability is flexible.

My Experience
Whilst completing a part-time Level 3 Diploma course, I worked in nurseries as the room leader of infants and toddlers aged 0-2 in Dubai. I was brought up in Dubai though I was born in the UK and am a British national. Living abroad means I am a confident traveller. My role required me to be highly respectful of parents/caregiver’s requests and the families’ cultures and beliefs. For example, following the individual routines requested by the parents/carers, liaising daily with parents/carers, attending to personal care needs, sterilising bottles and weaning/feeding, planning age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum and development matters, creating and providing a safe and stimulating environment, maintaining records, and managing staff in my classroom.
When one nursery closed, two sets of parents had the confidence to allow me to have sole charge of their infants in their homes - a 10 month old and a 14 month old. This was a temporary role whilst they found full-time nursery provision. I was also returning to the UK to begin a degree in Early Childhood Studies so this temporary role suited all.
The above experiences, allowed me to demonstrate certain qualities. I am confident that previous and current employers would describe me as trustworthy, punctual and flexible. My commitment to my professional development shows my keenness to learn. My ability to successfully manage two baby rooms within two separate nurseries shows that I am organised and creative and able to nurture the small people in my care whilst being mindful of their parents’ wishes.
