About Me
I am a mum of 3 and have worked with children of different ages and abilities for many years in schools, scouts, residential children's homes and my nearly 3 years as a childminder.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats
I recently recieves a rating of GOOD at my Ofsted inspection October 2024
My Experience
When i left school i studied childcare at college and went on to work at a child play centre and a nursery. When i had my first child i took a break from working and concentrated on raising my children. A few years ago i fell into working with children in residential care and fell in love with the work, one of the settings has a school attached which i assisted at a few times, this led me to start training as a Teaching Assistant, Covid-19 cut that short for me and i did not complete my training, but spending time in the school made me realise how much i enjoy working with young children and that led to me training as a childminder and starting this journey, nearly 3 years on I've learnt alot and am still in love with the role!
My Qualifications
LV2 CACHE certificate in childcare and education
LV3 CACHE certificate in preparing to work in home based childcare
I have attended many short courses based on what the children in my care need at the time.
Intend to do further childcare courses and am currently doing a course in British Sign Language.
My Availability
I currently have spaces for 1 part time child
I can accept 9month, 2 year and 3/4 year funding
