My Summary
"Experienced, Flexible, Sen Nanny & Behaviour Specialist – Nurturing, Qualified & Nature-Loving
About Me
Caring, Qualified Nanny | SEN Behaviour Specialist | Outdoor Play Enthusiast
Hi! :) I'm Kati —a warm, reliable, and highly qualified nanny with over a decade of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I’m also a mum to 2 amazing children and currently work as a Behaviour Specialist in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school.
I take a calm, gentle approach to childcare, while offering structure, routine, and a whole lot of fun! I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and free to explore—and I’m a huge advocate for outdoor play, whatever the weather. Living on a farm, I love involving children in nature-based activities, giving them space to learn and grow in a healthy, active environment.
I'm fully DBS-checked, hold a clean UK driving licence, and have completed Paediatric First Aid training. I also hold a range of professional qualifications in childcare, SEN support, behaviour management, safeguarding, and early years development—so your little ones are in safe, capable hands.
Highlights:
10+ years of childcare & teaching experience
Behaviour Specialist in an SEN school
Qualified in Paediatric First Aid, SEN, safeguarding & more
Clear DBS & full, clean UK driving licence
Gentle and structured approach tailored to each child
Passionate about outdoor play, nature, and hands-on learning
Mum of 3 with real-life parenting experience
If you're looking for someone caring, qualified, and dedicated to helping children thrive, I’d love to connect!
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working in education, supporting children across a wide range of ages and needs. My journey began by following my own children through their junior school years, which sparked a deep commitment to child development and safeguarding. I took on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in my previous workplace, which reflects my strong interest in keeping children safe and well-supported.
My career naturally led me into the world of Special Educational Needs (SEN), an area I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve worked with children who require extra support both emotionally and academically, and I now work full-time as a Behaviour Specialist in an SEN school.
Alongside my educational roles, I also worked as a live-out Nanny and Housekeeper for a family in Surrey for four years. This experience gave me valuable insight into providing care within the home, helping to manage routines, support development, and ensure a happy, organised household.
Since relocating to Kent, I’ve returned to the school environment, bringing with me a nurturing, structured approach and a broad skill set developed through both professional and personal experience.
My Qualifications
I hold a wide range of qualifications that reflect my 15+ years of experience in education and childcare. I am a qualified teacher with a specialisation in Food Technology, PSHE & Life Skills. I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and a Level 4 Award in Special Educational Needs (SEN). Currently, I work as a Behaviour Specialist in an SEN school, where my experience and training help me support children with a variety of additional needs.
I am Team Teach trained and qualified, which enables me to manage challenging behaviour effectively and safely, ensuring a positive environment for children. I am also Paediatric First Aid certified, DBS checked (clear), and hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
Other qualifications include:
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
Medication Administration Training
Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (relevant to my food tech background)
Restorative Practices
Safeguarding Children (Levels 1, 2, and 3)
PSHE & Life Skills Delivery
Mental Health Awareness for Children and Young People
Autism and ADHD Awareness
One of my career highlights has been being nominated as Favourite Staff Member at the children's award ceremony at my current school. This recognition was truly special to me, as it reflects my commitment to making a positive impact on children’s lives.
This is just a summary of the qualifications I hold. Should you require more detailed information, I’d be happy to provide a full list.
