My Summary
About Me
Hello, I’m Georgia—a 26-year-old childcare professional with 5+ years of experience, currently living in Bedminster and looking to work in the local area. I have a background in theatre, acting, and teaching.
My experience in both performance and education has given me a strong ability to connect with children through creativity, imagination, and play. I’ve worked with children of all abilities, including those with special needs, and I understand the importance of meeting each child where they are—whether that means using creative storytelling, sensory activities, or just being a calm and reassuring presence.
I firmly believe that laughter and creativity are some of the best ways to build trust and encourage learning. Whether it’s bringing stories to life, getting inventive with arts and crafts, or embracing the great outdoors, I love making every day engaging and enjoyable.
I’m also happy to help with cleaning, washing, and general household tasks. I take pride in keeping things tidy and organized, so I would treat your home with the same care as my own.
Cooking is another passion of mine—I love coming up with new recipes and would be more than happy to cook for the kids or even involve them in fun cooking activities.
I’m also an animal lover! If you have dogs or cats, I’d be more than happy to help with pet care, including walks if needed.
Above all, I’m kind, caring, and always focused on making sure kids feel safe, supported, and entertained—whether that’s through arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, or simply being a listening ear when they need one. If you’re looking for someone who can balance fun and responsibility, I’d love to help!
My Experience
I began my career in childcare as a 1:1 SEN support worker in primary schools, working closely with children with a range of disabilities and special needs. This role taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and creating a supportive environment tailored to each child's unique needs.
From there, I moved into early years education, working in a nursery setting across all age groups—from the baby room to preschool. This experience deepened my understanding of child development and allowed me to support children at some of the most crucial stages of their growth.
Beyond childcare, I have also worked in the care sector, supporting adults with special needs. This gave me valuable insight into long-term care and the importance of fostering independence and dignity at all stages of life.
Currently, I am working as a Drama Graduate Assistant in a school in Bath, supporting students from Year 7 to Year 13. Alongside this, I also work at the Pauline Quirke Academy, a drama academy that works with students aged 5 to 18. These roles allow me to combine my passion for theatre with my experience in education, using creativity and performance as tools to build confidence, communication skills, and self-expression in young people.
Working across different age groups, from early years to teenagers, has given me a well-rounded perspective on child and youth development. I thrive in creating engaging, inclusive, and supportive environments where children of all abilities can grow, learn, and feel valued.
