I am a bright and sociable young woman, I have a passion for caring and looking after children/vulnerable individuals. I am very patient and empathetic towards others and am always smiling :) Having experience working with both SENCO, physical disability and memory impairment individuals, I consider myself well enough experienced and eager to take hold of a challenge.
My Experience
I did summer work for a children's residential home before starting my Adult Nursing Course at university. I gained different training and experience within the children's sector, with children of care, and paediatric care.
I have two younger siblings and five baby cousins. As the eldest one in my family, I have always found myself caring for the younger children. I have watched children overnight and cared for them for long periods of time. I know how challenging children can be, but I have learned to lead with a calm, patient, understanding, and educated approach to looking after little ones.
My Qualifications
I am enhanced DBS checked, and is up to date.
I have 8 GCSEs all at grades 4 and above (including maths and English).
I have 3 A-level qualifications in psychology, politics, and RE.
I am qualified in first aid with the British Heart Foundation and in children's first aid.
I am trained in children's de-escalation techniques and choking aid.
I am fire and safety trained.
I am currently a student nurse studying Adult Nursing at BCU.
My Availability
I have full time and flexible availability, don’t feel in a rush or panicked if running behind as i am very open with my time.
