My Experience

I have worked with children in a teaching, babysitting, or childcare setting for 16 years. I babysat as a teenager, later on teaching Children's Theatre and worked as a nanny in New York and Chicago. In New York I worked as a live-in nanny for a family; I took the children to and from school, assisted with schoolwork, cooked dinner, and played games with them every evening. In Chicago I nannied for a toddler during the pandemic - I created sensory games, reading time, and found ways to keep her stimulated while on lockdown. I have been babysitting for the past two years since moving to Edinburgh as well! With my theatre experience, I love games, music, and encouraging a child's imagination. I read to kids, can take them to the park, and help with any coursework. I clean and prepare meals as necessary! I'm comfortable with pets. I'm specifically looking for evening and weekend babysitting gigs, or daytime work excluding Fridays, and would love to be your babysitter.

My Qualifications

I am CPR and First-aid certified. I have a degree in Children's education and Theatre. Additionally, I've worked as a Teaching Artist for children aged 4-18 teaching them about theatre, costumes, stage makeup, and improv. I founded a Read and Play programme in my hometown; a group that works with schools to encourage reading and imagination in kids. I have a driving license and comfortable biking in the city.

My Availability

I am available any day but Fridays! I can usually work last minute, but my schedule can book up so reach out a few days in advance to secure your weekly childminding service or evening date.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I charge 12 an hour for one child babysitting and childminding services. For two children and newborns I charge 13+ an hour. Of course, fees are flexible and I am willing to charge less on special circumstances or for long-term overnight sitting.
