I would not recommend this person overall. Yaz visited us twice, and I was initially impressed by her interaction with my son. However, during the third time, she canceled at the last minute. She did not seem to care that we had work obligations and couldn’t take last-minute leave, leaving us scrambling for childcare.
The issue escalated when my husband politely asked if she could reconsider, as her reason for canceling seemed trivial, but instead of helping, she quit providing care altogether. This situation highlights the challenges of working with Gen Z, who often take offense at minor matters. I would recommend hiring someone older, possibly with experience as a parent, who takes their job and responsibilities seriously.
I’m giving two stars instead of one or zero because she had a good rapport with my child. Unfortunately, it’s my son I feel sorry for in this situation, as he liked her, but she quit without much thought about how it might affect him especially since he has struggled with separation anxiety and has difficulty trusting new people.
