My Experience

I have provided childcare for local families for several years. These roles involved picking children up from school, cooking dinner, helping with homework, taking them to clubs, and organizing weekend activities.
I have experience working with primary school children and have completed my Level 3 Higher Sports Leader Award. This role entailed planning and independently leading weekly PE lessons for primary school children. I found organizing these sessions rewarding as I could tailor the activities each week to suit the needs of each child and alter them to keep them engaged and stimulated.
I also have experience looking after children with special needs. On my Year Abroad in the United States, I was part of a Women’s organization that raised money and volunteered for the visually impaired. These volunteering activities included organizing activities for blind children, such as Easter Egg hunts with noises and bells. We also helped these children to read Braille and guided them in writing cards and messages in Braille using raised paint.
I have been a part of a committee responsible for organizing a Boccia and New Age Kurling event for special needs primary schools across the county. This role involved coordinating the 10 participating schools and organizing the schedule of the day. This role also involved engaging the children in the games and ensuring appropriate accessibility for the various needs of the children.

My Qualifications

I am in my final year at the University of Birmingham, studying an LLB Law degree. I have A-levels in Biology, English Literature, and History.
