About Me
Hi! I'm a 21 year old mum of a toddler myself and coming from a large family I have plenty of experiences with children and babies of all ages and needs. I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care and have been studying at a local university to become a midwife so with that I am also infant and adult first aid trained and DBS checked. I have decided to take some time out of my studies for the time being so am looking for some work either childminding or nannying. I don't hold a driver's license however I have lived in Leeds my whole life and am very efficient with public transport.
My Experience
I have had local experience babysitting from the age of 16 for neighbouring families with ages ranging from 6 months to 10 years; including working evenings, mornings and weekends. Alongside this, I've spent a number of weeks during my courses fulfilling placement in a private day nursery in Leeds gaining experience working between babies, toddlers and preschool classes. I'm DBS background checked and have been healthy and safety trained for both adults, and infants during my midwifery training. I also have my own 3 year old so am up to date and well practiced with safe sleep, weaning, potty training and gentle parenting. I do not hold any direct childcare qualifications however I do have an extended diploma in Health & Social Care which we studied care and legislations regarding children, young people and those vulnerable. To further back this up, I am looking at completing an online childcare course and am happy to fulfil anything further an employer would require.
