About Me
I’m a first year university student here in Bath. I’ve got a passion for working with children and am often complimented on my creativity and compassion.
My Experience
I have worked as a playcare worker with children aged 3-12 for the last 2 years. This was in a mix of school and out of school settings. I have volunteered for Mind which involved working with young people directly and with their parents/carers, as well as making resources (presentations, leaflets) for both young people and adults. This has led to me taking a focus on wellbeing when working with children. I have also previously volunteered at a children’s library and created and led a (now annual) neurodiversity information evening at my sixth form.
My Qualifications
I have just completed my a-levels and am now studying an early years childhood education and care degree. I have my first playcare qualification alongside my paediatric first aid, level 2 food safety and hygiene, safeguarding training, and level 2 youth mental health first aid. I also have a clear enhanced DBS check.
My Availability
I am free outside of university hours. This includes most Fridays and every other Tuesday during the day.
