About Me
34 year old mum of 3 girls aged 14, 7 and 1. I have lived in the hemsworth area for 3 years. I have a beautiful newly built 3 bedroom home which offers a large enclosed rear garden, fully insured car for educational trips and full liability insurance. I hold many qualifications and often take new courses to sharpen my skills. I believe in holistic learning and provide that in my setting alongside EYFS statutory framework. I do not drink alcoholic beverages or smoke cigarettes and I am currently on no medications. I have received 2 covid vaccinations and suffer no pervious or current mental illnesses. I consider myself to be very fit and in full health. Full enhanced DBS for both myself and my husband who is also an Ofsted Registered assistant.
My Experience
Having raised 3 daughters one of which is on the autism spectrum I have had the privilege of learning exemplary patience and compassion. I have 7 full years of experience with children with special educational needs. Lots of experience from birth onwards and have taken many training courses to better understand children and their needs. I offer a very high standard of teaching and care and take pride in my role as an early years educator.

Based on our experience, I would advise careful consideration before choosing Laura. If your child requires additional emotional support, Laura is not the most suitable caregiver. In our case, when our son showed signs of being more upset than other children, we did not receive detailed assessments or explanations regarding his behaviour. Instead, the contract was terminated abruptly without prior discussion or adequate communication.
Since transitioning to a new childcare environment, our son has settled in well, which raises further questions about the factors contributing to his previous distress under Laura's care. Unfortunately, due to the lack of supportive communication, we are left without clear answers.
If your child is highly independent and requires minimal emotional support, Laura might be a suitable match. However, for children needing more attentive care, it may be beneficial to explore other options.
Additionally, we are still awaiting a refund for the unused portion of our payment, despite a week having passed since the contract's termination.

Thank you for your review Gita. I'm sorry to hear you feel this way as its always my intention to offer the best care possible. With that being said I would like to address some of your above points as these are not only dishonest but also extremely exaggerated. upon your initial visit to look at my setting I advised you that as your son was so young and had not spent time in childcare before he may struggle to adapt and so suggested that you start him with shorter days rather than full days to help him adapt as I saw he was very clingy refusing to be placed down...you pushed for full days against my professional opinion. Because of this decision and based on my initial observations of how clingy your son was I advised that should he not settle in I will not continue the contract so this was something you were not only aware of but agreed to from day one. As I have CCTV recording in my home this conversation is on record. After 2 weeks your child was still refusing to be placed down to play screaming in an alarming manner if I put him down, this made it very difficult for me to care safely for the other children in my care not to mention caused your son distress. I again discussed the issue with both yourself and your husband on two more occasions and advised that as I work alone I had to put the safety of the children first and could not hold your son for the full time he was here, Equally I could not simply leave him to scream and become upset so I felt he would benefit from being in a nursey where more staff are on hand to give 1 on 1 care. my communication was precise and clear from day 1 with plenty of communication. unfortunately there is only so much 1 person can do and choosing to not continue to care for a child to ensure the safety of the others was taken very personally by you rather than seeing it was in your childs best interest hence this personal onslaught from yourself. I completely understand my decision to not care for your son has upset you however leaving inaccurate reviews to try and damage my business and reputation out of sheer spite is unacceptable behaviour. Id also like to address your point regarding the refund, as stated in the contract all accounts payable and otherwise are managed on the 16th of each month and processed by the end of the month so for you to insinuate I've failed to submit the refund is just another attempt to sully my reputation. THANKFULLY I have many other 5 star reviews from satisfied parents and 9 happy children who attend my setting. thank you
My son has been attending since January and he absolutely loves Laura. She is fantastic with the children and I’m happy leaving my 2 year old with her knowing that it’s like leaving him with family. I would recommend her in a heartbeat if you want your child to enjoy their childcare setting and thrive.

Laura has been looking after Leo since November, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. She is fantastic with him—always fun, patient, and engaging. Her professionalism and kindness give me complete peace of mind, knowing Leo is in safe hands. He absolutely loves spending time with her, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the children she looks after. I can definitely highly recommend laura she’s is an amazing childminder the communication is brilliant. I feel so reassured when i take my daughter in a morning knowing she so looked after there no one else I’d rather take care of my little girl than this lady.

Our baby has been to Laura for a full day so far & we’ve been delighted to have had plenty of updates from start to finish, detailed notes of the day & some lovely keepsakes from her first day.
