Kay was going to work for us aboard as we are in one of the BOT. Meanwhile, we needed someone urgently in another European country. We are an expat family who do transatlantic flights frequently. Kay was kind to come in short notice. Signed a contract. We had two other nannies and family members around at the same time. She did not have sole charge.
When we did another flight, as soon as we landed in London, she disappeared and quit via text. Sadly she hurt her knee and could not work. She quit without notice and we could not find replacement, as we had to fly again within a week. It was disappointing as we bought nonrefundable Transatlantic flights for her, and signed a two year lease for a flat suitable for her age in that BOT which costs a lot. We also paid for an immigration consultant and her qualifications to enhance her chances of going there. The maternity nurse qualification and the pediatric first aid. Immigration consultant and the UK police certificate alone was more than £2k. Flight was £1.5k and I put one of the twins under her flight, so I spent hours with BA to switch one of the babies to another ticket, paid £1k more for another seat for the baby as the two babies cannot travel with me only on one booking.

We did not want to discriminate based on age and took a leap of faith. Looking back, she is too old to perform childcare duties apart from light babysitting for children who are 6+ and self sufficient.

She quit without notice and wrote a long email. Accused us for paying other nannies late. They wanted cash in hand daily, not bank transfer. We had other contracts and it was the nannies choice to get cash daily to the exact amount, instead of bank transfer.
She struggled to follow instructions. Said it was confusing for the nanny. She accused us for packing too much stuff in carry on when she did not pack sufficient stuff for the plane, still had 6 carryon which baffles me. She packed the baby bags. We were flying business and had more than enough check in luggage allowance. She could not find her seat / hold onto the ticket, which was mental as we paid for business and she lost her ticket, sat in economy with the baby, far from us. Sat in the wrong seat. Got very fused when I asked for her ticket. Can understand it was due to her age. She was really struggling to work in a fast paced travelling position. She stood outside the airport, didn't go in, when it was cold and the babies were not properly dressed. We rushed her to go inside the airport. She also could not understand why we wanted to take the babies out at night for dinner when we dressed the babies properly in snowsuit. Said it was confusing.
We asked for the babies not to have a bath in the morning, have it at night instead. It was repeatedly ignored. She was very slow at changing them. She did not have to make milk for them as we have a baby breezer. Still spent hours cooking, which we did not ask her to.

I would recommend Kay for working in a calm and stable environment with no travelling involved, not twins and probably best in a rota role / in a fully staffed household with more than one nanny and a cleaner, not involve bathing a baby unassisted as it was something she would struggle to do, preferably with self sufficient children over 6yo.
