I am a 25 year old psychology graduate from Australia, I'm an extremely empathetic and bubbly person, having always been told that I am very nurturing. I love being around children/adolescents and believe these are the most important and transformative years of their lives, so I think it is imperative that they have a positive, progressive and joyful experience with their carers!
My Experience
I have over 2 years experience in disability support work, this work experience alongside my education in psychology has given me the unique opportunity to actively put theory into practice and become the greatest version of a carer that I can. I've also grown to feel extremely confident and comfortable in the face of complex behaviours, I am able to remain calm, composed and think critically in how to tend to the individuals needs. I truly believe that my background in psychology (specifically developmental psychology) creates a strong foundation in understanding and empathising for children/adolescents, knowing how to support them beyond fundamental experience.
